Review of the music MAIN HOON NA by Yas Creations

1. Main Hoon Na -sad- (Abhijeet sung this one the best, it's catchy song)
2. Main Hoon Na -title- (Sonu Nigam wasn't bad, lyrics saved the song, its catchy song as well)
3. Tumhe Jo Meine Dekha (Now this song is a fast track of romance, but if u listen to it, u'll listen to it over n over again, the music is also very nice, credit goes to Anu Malik)
4. Tum Se Milke Dil Ka Jo Haal (it's a ghazal type of song, its like that song from Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, -Sab Kuch Bhula Diya by sonu nigam, well this one is also sung by Sonu Nigam, n its awesome)
5. Gori Gori (It's Dance track, u love dancing then turn this on, n u'll start dancin automaticly, trust me, credit again goes to Anu Malik his music is great)
6. Chale Jaise Hawaien (Comes to a love song, it's a great song, n it belongs to Vasundhara Das all the way, here voice is awesome in this, a fast love song u cay say it, wana just chill with the music then put this on, its has nice words to it, with fast crazy beat on the back ground)
7. Main Hoon Na -Remix- (after a long time a remix that good has arrived finally, Ranjeet Barot kept up with the fast beat, techno type of beat, but its a good one, go on a fast ride, make sure u got this on)
8. Ye Fizaein (Alka Yagnik, damn her voice is pretty, KK also did his best, it comes out to be a good song,n other love song with fast beat, but mostly girls will love this song)

And now the music review from india fm By Joginder Tuteja

Main Hoon Na

Main Hoon Na comes in as the latest 'feel good' flick from the house of Red Chillies Entertainment and Venus that is about to storm the box-office in a couple of months. With a mega star-cast; Farah Khan (who doesn't need any introduction) making her directorial debut and the music department being handled by Anu Malik and Javed Akhtar, what one expects is not less than a rip-roaring musical journey.

Title track 'Main Hoon Naa' has everything going in its favor. Lilting melody, meaningful lyrics, wonderful cinematography and last but not the least, it comes straight after another Shah Rukh Khan hit - title song of 'Kal Ho Na Ho'. Here too, Shah Rukh Khan carries this song well all by himself and sets stage for yet another chartbuster in his career. Sonu Nigam is simply excellent while carrying with him the super form he was in 2003 whereas Shreya Goshal gives good support in this beautifully written song by Javed Akhtar. A definite hit all the way! A remix of the same composed by Ranjit Barot also makes an appearance but it is mainly an instrumental rather than a song and is mainly situational that should appear in the background.

'Tumhe Jo Maine Dekha' has an age-old charm associated with it. Such is the melody of the number that you can't help but remember the golden times of the 70s when Rishi Kapoor used to woo his heroines in style! Abhijeet is in great form while Shreya Goshal does her part well. A nice melodious number, it should be liked by the lovey-dovey hearts!

'Chale Jaise Hawayein' is a youthful track that is rhythmic, vibrant and lively. A song, which is more in the mould of Shankar Ehsaan Loy rather than Anu Malik style of music, it is noticeable that the poetry about nature by Javed Akhtar has been presented in a modern style. A song that is lead mainly by Vasundhara Das and supported well by Kay Kay, its major attraction is it's filming which was done in 'single take' (a la 'Roop Tera Mastana' on Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore, which too was done in one single take). Waiting to watch this one!

Kay Kay gets to do more in the 'feel-good' track 'Ye Fizayein' which is fresh and lively again. A track featured on the entire principal star-cast of Main Hoon Naa (SRK, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao), it is about living life to the fullest, finding true love and spreading love all over. Alka Yagnik is, as always, good in this song which is high on melody (though the intermittent dholak beats do sense of 'Ladki Badi Anjaani Hai' - KKHH ] and should turn out to be one of the more popular tracks in this flick.

Abhijeet, who has been the voice behind many a Shah Rukh hits, gets to sing the sad version of the title track 'Main Hoon Naa'. A number where the protagonist is craving for love after being rejected by his own people, it has good lyrical value. A full-fledged sad track, it is situational and should do well with the Shah Rukh fans.

KK, Anu Malik, Shreya Goshal and Sunidhi Chauhan come together to boogey-woogey in 'Gori Gori'. A pacy track, it is destined to be popular amongst the campus crowds. Such is the rhythm of the track that one immediately looks for dancing shoes to hit the dance floor within a minute of the song being played. Though the lyrics are average, credit should be given to Anu Malik to make the number foot tapping. Let the track be aired on the small screen and it won't be time before it catches the fancy of the youth.

By the time you wait for this number to hit the tube, why not just listen to one of the most innovative [and better] number composed in the recent times 'Tumse Milke Dil Ka Hai Jo Haal Kya Kare' is an immensely catchy number that doesn't need more than 2 listening to be registered on one's lips. A superb 'qawalli' fused well with the modern-day beats, it is elevated to greater heights by mind blowing sets, vibrant florescent colors [did you expect less while Farah Khan was around?] and some imaginative choreography [one actually sees swans floating around while Shahrukh woes Sushmita]. Sonu Nigam, Aftab Sabri and Hashim Sabri do a wonderful job [look at the way Sonu Nigam changes his pitch on and off throughout the track] and last but not the least - the onscreen chemistry shared by the lead actors is awesome. A winner from the word GO, it should be a rage when seen on the big screen. As the saying goes - 'The best always comes in the last', the same holds good for this track which is the last number in this youthful album.

An album which is good by all standards, it belongs to the class of those musical creations that carry a HIT tag all the way. Also the fact cannot be ignored that good music is always expected when Shah Rukh's name is associated with a project and then his previous releases [Chalte Chalte, Kal Ho Na Ho] have done extraordinary business both musically as well as at box-office. This alone will ensure that the lovers of Bollywood music will lap this album like hot cakes!

Go For It!

MAIN HOON NA movie PREVIEW

Popular choreographer Farah Khan turns director with her ambitious debut project "Main Hoon Na" from the house of Red Chillies Entertainment and Venus and produced by Gauri Khan (wife of Shahrukh Khan). Anu Malik composes music in the R.D.Burman mode and Javed Akhtar pens the lyrics. And contrary to what one might have presumed, the director does not go for a contemporary love-or-dance storyline in her debut attempt. To your very surprise, the film is based on the current-favorite Bollywood theme of Indo-Pak relations and formulated as a mission film. Of course it's loaded with dollops of fun, humor, romance, action and emotions as well. In Bollywood slang – a complete masala film!

Major Ram Prasad Sharma (Shahrukh Khan) yearns to see the ambitious project Mission Milaap become a reality. A mission that will prove to be the dawn of a new tomorrow! Where long standing enmity between two countries will begin to see its end. But some forces do not want that dawn to come. One of them is Raghavan (Sunil Shetty) who will do anything to prevent the strategic move. For this reason his devious shadow looms large over General Amerjeet Bakshi's daughter Sanjana (Amrita Rao) , whose life is in danger.

Every drop of Ram Prasad's blood glistens with the shine of pride for his country and he will not allow dark actions to create an eclipse in its bright future. To protect Sanjana, he goes to her school as a student… indeed 'Back to School'! Here fun and frolic conceal his real intent.

Will anyone here guess that he has just lit funeral pyre of his martyr father Brigadier Shekhar Sharma (Naseeruddin Shah) . The ashes have emerged but the fire has not subsided. For he has to fulfill his fathers last wish. Strangely, the fulfillment of his wish also lies in this very school… completing this mission will be no easy task. For it involves intense emotions and long – standing misunderstandings.

These two missions are now his life-blood. The weapon of one mission is Gun and that of the other is Love. But the road to both is that of Truth. The only option is victory. The only man is Ram Prasad Sharma. And the only mantra is Main Hoon Na! YAS38052.9770833333
