METAIRIE, La. - The Texans have an http://www.cinemakolik.com/ed-dickson-jersey-c-1_14.html enviable running back situation, one bolstered by the presence of Pro Bowl alternate Lamar Miller and the arrival of rookie D'Onta Foreman.
At least temporarily, though, their backfield depth has been thinned by injuries.
Texans backup running back Alfred Blue left practice early Thursday against the New Orleans Saints to have his ankle examined.
Foreman didn't practice due to a leg injury. The Texas City native has dealt with a tight groin over the past week, but it's not regarded as serious.
The third-round draft pick from Texas has had an impressive preseason, breaking tackles, showing elusiveness and speed in the open field and an ability to catch passes that wasn't evident when he was playing for the Longhorns.
Reserve running back Akeem Hunt, the Texans' fastest running back, is recovering from a hamstring injury.
And undrafted rookie running back Dare Ogunbowale left practice with trainers, walking off under his own power after getting shaken http://www.dusenadup.com/shaq-thompson-jersey-c-1_26.html up during a non-contact drill.
Meanwhile, the following players didn't practice: wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins (hand), Braxton Miller (ankle), Will Fuller (broken collarbone), Riley McCarron, tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz (quadriceps), punter Cory Carter (hip flexor), cornerbacks Robert Nelson (hamstring) and Denzel Rice (ankle), safeties Malik Smith and Lonnie Ballentine (knee), linebackers Sio Moore (hamstring), Gimel President and Dayon Pratt (ankle).
