peeps......the nhl playoffs start 2morrow and the leafs play on thursday against ottawa!! most of u probably don't follow hockey so just join the LEAF NATION and do duaa that we do good!!! its a stanley cup this year, or never!!

the series is a best of 3 now. leafs are in tough without sundin, nieuwendyk, and tucker, but hopefully 1 or 2 of them return sooner than later. even still....leafs will kick some ass.

Hockey is bullsh*t? That's why it's Pakistan's National Sport and also the second most played in South Asia?

I find Hockey quite interesting and so do many others; if you don't like it then what's the point of posting here? Another thing it isn't a American sport; actually it's a Native American sport which they use to play and has now evolved.

Some of the greatest sports are Canadian. Basketball is a Canadian sport as well; bet ya didn't know that!

jattkickass, we've beaten ottawa b4 with our minor league players, so playing with 6 regulars should not be a problem. . its only ottawa who makes exuses - not the leafs!

TORONTO (CP) - Forget the X's and O's and Eddie Belfour's great goaltending and all the other story lines emanating from Friday night's Game 5 win by the Toronto Maple Leafs over the Ottawa Senators.

The underlying truth in the so-called Battle of Ontario is that no matter how much speed and skill the Senators throw out on the ice, come playoff time against their provincial rivals they lack the heart and determination of their foes.

What else can you describe their effort Friday night, with Toronto missing its superstar captain Mats Sundin?

"It was our worst effort of the series," said a dejected Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson.

A fourth consecutive playoff defeat at the hands of the hated Leafs is beckoning unless Alfredsson and his teammates can demonstrate the same kind of passion Toronto has shown against them spring after spring.

anyone see the sheer joy on ottawa's faces when they won?! they were so releived. HAHAHAHA! i can only imagine what will happend when they lose on tuesday. LOL.
