wow. lollywood keeps rackin' 'em up eh?! after a long downward spiral, we have movies like laaj, larki punjaban, salakhein, phela phela pyar, kulay aasman ke neechay, reema's directorial debut movie, and now dewaane hum dewaane tum to look 4ward to! u KNOW the music will live up to expectations for this new movie, if the sajjad ali camp is composing it. then u add the director who people trust with his previous tv work, and this movie can be added to the growing list! can't wait..

yeah she should be given another chance. but i don't see her as a lead actress. only supporting! she's better suited for dramas.

and t.o._raptors, super music masti is a concert which will go down in london on the 20th this month. the performers include: shehzad roy, sukhbir, dehler mendhi, noor jehan's daughter, nirma, resham, humaira arshad, and another big name, i'm forgetting!

millan 2003, is a concert which will have sajaad ali, abrar ul haq, shaida mini and a host of others (i think. umair16 knows more abt this!).

but i agree with the free movie's for international pakistanis! lol.

if we're going to talk abt solutions for lollywood's woes...here's my answer. it sounds easy enough but i don't see it happening. lol. someone (preferably a pakistani) from the U.S. or Canada who has a boatload of money, and who wants to make a name for themself in their home country, should team with a known producer IN pakistan and pool their resources! next on the agenda is, sign a mixture of old and new stars, and come up with a story which is unique - one that is completely different from current trends (perhaps a tragedy which is rarely done). next get the latest equipment (which we KNOW is avaiable to all directors if they want it). then, get the biggest singers in pakistan to do the music...and this is where we SHINE. make music which kicks ass (we have done it in the past, we're doing it now, and we can do it for this proposed solution for lollywood!) in fact, u bank the movie and its success on its music, and its variety, thanks to the countless artists! and finally, promote the movie in pakistan, canada, the u.s. and london. release it during/after eid, and you're all set to smash records!!

now all we need is that rich bum to come 4ward and put up the cash! the actors/actress won't take up much of your budget (espcially if your money is in dollars or pounds and you pay them in rupees!!) so you put the bulk of the cash 2wards (like u said, t.o. raptors) promotion, equipment, travel (you gotta film abroad!!) and paying the music director(S)!!!

if i had no PTV Prime, i'd be lost. lol.

even tho its illegal in canada (the matter is being taken up in the supreme court) many people have dishnetwork. and many of these people happend to be pakistani. we only have PTV prime to keep us informed! even tho it gets boring i look at it like this: its all we got! better PTV Prime than nothing! ya'll should be thankful for what we have (we canadians!) lol.

i'm glad u saw the LP premier show! u're right it was not THAT glamourous, but for a pakistani movie, thats as good as it gets. lol. as 4 saima not dancing with shamyl....you might be right. but for me, its a good thing she did not dance. she looked more classy that way. and besides, she is twice shamyl's age! it would look awkward for her to dance with him, in fornt of senior artists who were in attendence! lol. but whats done is done. saima presented herself nicely, and she didn't come off like meera and resham and these ladies usually do. she seems like what everyone says about her...very quiet and keeps 2 herself. i like her that way! wouldn't u agree?! she stands out!

as 4 the movie itself, belive it or not bro, i heard it might be delayed AGAIN until eid. i'm not 100% sure, but its possible. otherwise sept. 26th looks like the target date.

i see where you're comin' from bibijan. the faults you listed in that movie were unrealistic and annoying. but thats what makes punjabi movies good! they're so ghetto, you can't help laugh and enjoy them! they're only a movie...everyone knows such things can't happend in real life. so just enjoy, like you are! laugh it up!

i will say tho...there are some punjabi movies which are excellent. most of them are stupid like the one you mentioned, but there are some which are great. so punjabi movies should not pack it in, like everyone says! they still entertain! lol.
