It depends who she is. If she was a random girl walking down the street or some girl at university I don't know, and I told her she was pretty, it would make me look like a stalker slash guy who wanted to date her. However, I will admit, if I was with a close friend I might make a comment to him/her and say something like 'she's got nice hair' or 'she's fine looking', but not in a sleazy manner.
If a friend is looking nice, I will tell her straight out because she knows my intentions are clean.

Don't waste your time pondering about us girls, no two people are alike and there're no 'secrets'. If you want to understand your guy, be heartfelt and genuine to him, if his heart and mind are in the right place, he'll be like that right back.

I'd be crying if she was here.
She told her parents about a training course up north and some talks she wanted to attend, I don't know where up north though, only that she will back late next week.
I spoke to her on the phone last night and she's making a full effort to maintain a sense of mystery of her whereabouts and activities.
Take your time coming back sweetie I love having uniterupted time on the computer, chilling out on your bed, watching some tv in your room, flicking through your Cds, helping myself to your stereo and the "secrete" stash of sweets over your wardrobe (your bro told me about them by the way, nice variety you have here.)

P.S. Just come back soon Jia, making your life hell isn't much fun with you not here.

Nice topic you've started here AshKhan. I've skimmed through the thread and saw some interesting points. I agree on the notion that relgion is more important than culture, but Islam isn't a religion, it's a 'deen' which means way of life. I've never felt isolated or confused because my parents have followed the deen more than the Pakistani culture.

Tesh is present and looking forward to talking to you all.
Chandramuki you made such a big deal girl I might blush in a moment. You can stop saying 'bad' things about me now, I'm here and able to reply.

To clarify some things, her family do love me and I genuinly love them too, it takes special people to welcome a non relative into their house and lives and treat him like a son.

I wasn't exactly 'hacking' into her msn account, just trying to find out her password which is h*****6ty right baby?

About that mango kulfi, you never gave me any girl!

Sorry I misread your question,
"does it mean one who cant fulfil his duty cant declare himself as a leader"
Yes in essence, but if a women can't fulfil her duties as a mother and wife does she disqualify as one?

You can also see it as us men having double the responisibility and not as this power struggle of the genders/dominance that a lot of feminists wave their banners about. Men have the responsibilty of leadership and it makes sense because of the physical side, women are more vulnerable than men, it's an anatomical fact.

Equality in my eyes means both men and women carrying out their own duties and not trying to do everything themself, because women do the housework and look after the kids it doesn't make them any less than a man, vice versa men are expected earn the money, that doesn't make them any better than wome - and doesn't mean that one can't do what the other can. Both are playing their part.

What the man did was sick, but punishment is in the law's hands, I'm going to take a back seat and say that those who are qualified have it on thier shoulders to pass judgment not me. If there's a nainsaafi with the case then on the Day of Judgment it will go to the highest court and God will punish who ever was wrong.

Chandramuki I've been reading your comments as well and girl you have to take it easy, okay you have strong veiws but stop taking so much headach trying to make people understand, you know put the effort somewhere else as well, like making me a cuppa a tea .
