That is what i was saying rom long time could u beleive it that news papers and so called movie critics here in pakistan called this movie a documentry film without any entertainment at all now thats what explains thier artistic sense and approach,i too didn't liked the hero but others were gr8 and i always felt that this is the only movie in the recent time which we can show any where in this world cuz somehow it really shows our true culture and tradition and yea its a true story.

well its not a copy mahesh got the rights from the band JAL this time and for ur kind info the jal's band version is also in the kalyug sound track and yea JAL and atif aslam both r paid for this,its not a copy thing any more.

nothing wrong i have heard the story line its different it really is but saima is not a heroin material any more and the 2nd but the man point is abt the language it could have been better if noor have dubbed the film in urdu as well cuz i can understand a bit of panjabi but not completely so its like he is making a movie and investing so much for the only one region any wayz i love the story line i hope its a gud movie.

well jinnah was also a flopp but a wonderfull movie at the same time so i guess but yea i too feel proud that movies like jinnah and laaj was attemped by our filmakers.

laaj is a visual treat but i guess we dont have latest technology to convert films on dvd i have seen laaj in theater and it was jus superb when it comes to sound and picture quality but i jus watched it geo once again and the quality wasn't there same was the case wid yeh dil aapka huwa

well its gud they changed the lyrics but it sounds gud and atif did full justice wid his voccals and one thing i wana mention is that they officialy got the rights of the song from the band jal cuz the jal's aadat is also included in the kalyug album.

well chriz it would b very ridiculous to make an urdu film on a punjabi sofi poet while u r including his kalam in it as well.the punjabi sofi poets r treasure 4 all of us not only 4 punjab.yhe film songs r really depict our culture.although saima anti is in it but i still love the song coz mayb i can understand it.the song ja we kachya karya is beautifully written n picturised as well.cheti bori we tabeba is amazing song.its composition is excellent.shan's dhamal is good.i hope it will b a good film coz it has a depth.what is looking from the songs do far.




well i have no prob with punjabi language i too can understand panjabi as well but it can be a double version film i mean in the past there are quite a few movies which were dubbed in both punjabi and urdu it only can create the opportunity for the movie to be a nation wide success i mean look every where either its bollywood or hollywood they make double version films and if iam not mistaken the babra sharif and ghulam mohyuddin starrer MERA NAAM HAI MOHABBAT was released in china and were dubbed in chinease language and was a huge success there.

the best offering by Pakistanis at the Kara as yet (2004)
just watched it few min ago,,, the storyline was extremely simple yet effective, but the way the movie was made was quite brilliant.
The dialogues, and the humor were well timed, the filming was done superbly and the end left me "bouche bée"
An amazing effort by the directors, the only drawback being that none of them were present for the planned Q and A session. Nevertheless, Javaid Shampoo made for great viewing and revived hope that Pakistani drama may still live.

yea that was a wonderfull play i have seen on GEO,and i guess earlier it was premiered at kara film festival last year,well there r quite a few low profile writers and directors who r working these dayz like there was a series aired on GEO as TAMASHA GHAR i guess and play featured in that series were brilliant i mean no star plus no sony no pathetic backgroun music but the pure conventional pakistani drama all those plays were written by saji gul and directed by sarmad sultan khosat i guess u shud watch them ull really love them.
