MR NICE said:agreed 100 %film must b good overall due to great publicity it can earn i think ajab gul is expert in itStraight I dont agree with the so called "perfect movie" thing because as you are probably aware there is no such thing. Along as the film has a decent story, good music and technically and production wise is sound people will watch it but publicity is very important.
YDAKH did a business of £50,000 in the first week and it run for about 4-5 weeks in different Cinemas. The publicity on Ary Digital was good with promos running for nearly a month. The premiere was also held in Leicester aquare and the BBC Asian Sound network also promoted the film and even the BBC North-West region TV news team where there for the first show at Manchester UCI. Yes, YDAKH was on the 6.30p.m news the following Monday.
Still I felt the publicity could have been better. Currently we have channels like Ptv Prime, Ary, GEO, Vectone and the Indian channels for publicity.
Our filmmakers can take the example of out pop music shows where publicity starts weeks before and the promos are on every channel and the posters are every where.
