wah ...pujabi salwar kameez clad sohnikudi of behanji fame is givin me a lecture on morality and religion . dont drink to it soni cause u ll get jailed or killed in pakland for that . lo,l that s what incredible that people like you revel in your backwardness . that s why its futile to argue with you cause that s the life you know and conditioned to live . we r diffent to the extreme . talkin about the similarities up to the gandi naalis then i guess you wasted your trip seein gandi naalis . lol the place is made by culture ...by freedom ..by its vibrant people ..by there being things to do . saudi arabia my foot where women cant drive and vote ...where they have to be covered from head to toe ...shudder at the thought of their plight . and dubai where indian movies release the same day as india in the most swankiest of theatres and provide a major chunk or entertanment to the people . compare the zee cine awards from last year which was attended by 60, 000 pople and had some of your artists for token value and compare it to your lux awards which was attended by 4000. saudi and dubai my ass. i have been to pakistan for the cricket matches explored lahore and it was the most boring week of life minus the cricket match . i mean there s nutthin to do ....no place to go except restaurants ....nowhere where the young could socialize ..no theatres except a few run downs ..no discoes ..no pubs .... there s no culture of entertanment and fun . india is a baby boomer nation with 68 % of its population under 30 and these are the gen X ers who have turned the tide . you think the steamy movies are seen by a minority ..sweety then they wont be viable and would ever be made . infact what u call steamy is not even steamy by our definition. so beat it . from srilanka to nepal to bangladesh ..mauritius...maldives...pakistan....middle east ....afghanistan....north africa .....iran ...u name it bollywood is the only source of cinema . not to mention europe and america where it is in the process of breaking thu . you say they are low budget ...i ll say they are relatively low budget compared to hollywood but in absolute terms they are pretty high budget and are above threshold ...from bthe best technology ...to the latest cameras to the best technicians .....to swanky multiplexes and theatres to see em in the best projection and sound ....the interlinkin with other industries like fashion with multiple ms worlds and universes and other supermodels to costumes ....to live shows where thousands come ( see the outer world of shahrukh khan to see what bollywood stardom is all about) to the culture of seein movies in a country where millions go to the movies everyday ....not to mention a giant music industry which absorbs everything from bollywood to western music to pakistani pop ....the support of the government and people ...the film cities ..the best sudios ...and equipment ...to the other glitz and glamour associated with it ...to highly educated and trained professionals ... its a legitimate industry . bollywood was never competing against hollywood nor there are any grand illusions that the westerners would leave english and watch hindi cinema. however good a movie is its not that fun unless its in the lingo u understand and faces you identify with . bolywood always co exists with hollywood . the culture of movies is so strong in india that hollywood movies are released on the same day as other parts of the world . we love movies . we aborb everything from bollywood to hollywood to paki pop top international stars performing in our cities routinely . only in this year there have been six international bands like sting and floyd and about 4 pakistani bands. enternainment is our culture thats why we r good at it . slowly and steadily its market is expanding and its getting its recognition from film festivals to statues of amitabh and aish at madam tussads to indian retrospectives in various cities across america and europe ..to almost all the major movie houses in hollywood makin offices in india ..time warner...fox...universal ...sony...mtv.....channel v ...cnn....cnbc...axn...star.... everyone is there . .....to indian stars bein interviewed by major television hosts here in usa . everyone knows what bollywood is even if they cant identify with it . in sheer #'s bollwood movies are watched by more people across the world than hollywood . but of course u r the virginal sohni kuri who ll end up mayying your cousin and never accept the fact that islam isnt dictating a huge chunk of the world . their are other cultures which are freer and dont discard anything thats fun ...be it dance ..music ..drinkin...sex ....anything that s fun ..like life is some kinda punishment. sorry but we dont live like that....maybe our grand parents lived that way . also the fact that havin seen the world i could start quoting sources from national geographic to your local pakistani newspapers on cinema...bollywood...economy...top asian colleges.....tech institutes....business houses ..to indians who regularly make the time list ....to democracy ...non proliferation ..rape figures...muslims killed in india compared to how many killed in pakistan in the shia sunni clashes...to terrorism ...u name it . like i said we r different countires and if aping the west makes us successful and free like them then so be it . the world which believes in freedom are not idiotts ..they are highly succesful countires while islamic countries are the most backward countries in the world majority of whom havent seen democracy in their existance like your country or their is some screw up or the other .not to mention the fracas in the non islamic secular coutries like france and london . no wonder there are so many terrorists and jihadis cause there s nutthin else for entertainment. its all the pent up frustration . its the era of globalization my friend and the sooner your society understands it the more time you will save living this godforsaken life. . so virginal sohni kudi there s no point arguing ..you live your own deprived life devoid of anything interesting while i ll live mine....and hey dont mind my makin out with the guy next door...he s kinda cute. lol

dont care sweety . ....dont care if shahrukh is a muslim ...or if akshay kumar is a hindu ...or john is a christian . thats not how we label people nor its our criteria to like or dislike someone or find him hot or not . you live in a unilateral society so that s how this stuff is ingrained in you . and dont talk about islam . i have a muslim friends in india sweety but none of them are as conservative or tunneled like you are.

i agree ..whats behaiyee and begairatee for u is the way of life for many countries . if your society is restrictive and follows the shariya doesnt mean other countries follow the same diktats. right on . like i said these movies are not made for islamic countries like urs so dont watch them or dont complain about what movies we make for our own people and who ever cares to watch . i mean its stifling how u even think . what do u do in pakistan . i have been brought up in the west too and the culture in any big city or town in india is pretty much the same or getting there . there are no restrictions on us . the movies are made targetting our audience and not urs where girls cant have live in relationships or people dont have any concept of sex and anything sexual is repressed like it isnt there. but that s ur culture and i dont condemn it so dont condemn mine ..if its too steamy then watch pakistani or iranian movies . maybe they ll provide u the entertainment u need . and by the way u think the biggest movie industry in the world doesnt have a certificate system . lol the movies are graded for target audience and its specefied on the censor certificate if u GO TO A MULTIPLEX OR GET AN ORIGINAL DVD...but how do u care u r gonna watch the pirated versions anyways or some downloaded sh*t which is no fun anyways . yea 15 years ago things were different and i believe pakistanis could watch everything bollywood produced ..now its different ..its not the same people running the show the new generation of film makes are in play who have lived their life in liberal open india . these are are the gen X ers who have been brought up on MTV other international channels and who depict the sensibilities of the young vibrant india . its a different ballgame now cause the outlook is different .sex is out in the open and u have to see to believe what happens in schools and colleges . maybe u wont cause most of the schools and coleges in pakistan are not coed while 99.9% are coeds in india . intermingling of sexes is everywhere and in your face . we r not segregaated like u . so the baigairit and behaiyee that u are talkin about is ur concept of it by default of you being born into a country and society that u live in . same is true for us . we define it the way we see it. the censor code is pretty much abolished which is a grrt thing cause i dont think there should be any censorship . ...there are international houses and movies are targetted globally . if this boggles ya then watch out next year when there are couple of big movies featuring topless scenes . lol why dont we have some champagne and 'EAT CAKE' to that

(sorry for my english, i'm french) i just wanna say that i'm a big fan of shahrukh khan and confess that i love him, inconsciouly, cause he is a muslim. so i can understand the one who question himself about the religion of bollywood actors. and for muslims, in France at least, the religion is very important. so i'm very happy when i listen shahrukh says in the dvd "the inner outer world of shahrukh khan" that he strongly believes in Allah.
wow that s exactly my point . u have been brought up bein unipolar and tunneled to this view of islam . thank god everyone isnt like that . otherwise shahrukh khan wont have mrried a hindu ..not converted her and brought his kids embracing both religions. that s secularism to its finest . or nargis and farah khan wont have married hindus ..and the list is endless. does it happen in pakistan ..no cause any society which is based on religion becomes unipolar and fascist . i mean the societies where there s no seperation of the 'church and the state' . its grrrt to embrace one religion but negating others and judging people on it is what the problem is . its weird how pakistanis keep judging others like they have a claim on islam or something . thank god i wasnt brought up in this kinda society and lack of freedom it ensues. simple.

dont hate pakistan my friend . hate regression and backwardness. societies evolve and people move . i mean what are u cribbing about bollywood bein steamy. arts reflect culture and socities and as socities evolove and become liberal its reflected in its media . there is no big deal about. sex isnt a hush hush thing anymore and women have now assertive powers stemming from liberation and independence ...both social and financial . what u see on screen is nutthin comparede to what happens in schools and colleges and streets of india . your culture is different and i respect you for it . doesnt mean indians should live our lives that way. whats on our cinema is true for our society and other countries with similar mindset . i dont think there s anything steamy about the costumes or kissing or sex scenes cause its just out there there in our face everywhere . maybe not in your country . so be it . dont see it if it offends you .

just stating the facts baby...now another slap on this guy s face is the news that gulshan grover has been confirmed to play the ultimate villan in the next james bond movie casino royale. now i guess he realizes what true embarrassment means . lol
First I am a paki and then I'm in Peshawar, and now you claim to know my sex. Wow maybe I should start watching bolly you can attain mysterious powers. Or perhaps you just start hallucinating which you are obviously doing . All your crap....see this is what bolly can do to you, not only is it embarrassing it is also bad for your health. Hope you come round soon, and when you do you dont need to apologise. Oh by the way this guy Gulshan in a bond movie yeah your right sounds truly emabarrassing.
Funny what a racist paki hater is doing on a predominantly paki forum. Probably a secret paki admirer. You probably wish you were in pak safe from all the indian rapists that roam the streets of Goa looking for western tourists to rape or mug. Tourists that have fell in large numbers due to this fact. You have a lot to say about pak, but that wont let you deflect attention from Indian negativity such as the rape figures in bombay or the corruption prevalent throughout its society JUST LIKE PAKS. And that isn't even the beggining. Oohh I dont know why I'm even responding to this fantasist. Not again.
hahahah what an incorrigable idiot. so i m a secret pak admirer now ..lol yea what should i admire ..the fact taht u havent seen democracy in 58 years ..or the fact that i cant choose my own goverment ..or the fact that internationally pakistans reputation is so great that i would be checked for rope marks and stuff to ensure that i dont belong to some terror outfit and be given rough times by the immigration. ...or maybe the fact that i wont be able to run a marathon or go for a jog or take a swim or chill at beaches....or not be able to play tennis in a miniskirt....or maybe i should admire the fact that there would be nutthin to do and nowhere to go cause there are no discoes..nite clubs or pubs where young people can hang out after a hard day work and intermingle ..or is it cause there s no culture of cinema and hardly any theatres and multiplexes left in the country for my entertainment ...or maybe i should admore the fact that sex is forbidden and there are archaic laws like the hudood and zina...or maybe how the countries name gets dragged in one international scandal after the other ..from 7/7 to egypt to AQ khan . well there are lotta facts to be admired i guess and the pist is endless ..isnt it dude . talkin about rapes in goa lol wow maybe that s why millions walk into goa every year for its famous rave parties and beach get together s . goa is a wild place ..a place which you can only imagine in pakistan dude and even this year for new years its all booked . there are more foriegners in goa than indians . lol well maybe that s why mukhtaran mai and sonia naaz get splashed all over the place and international media has a field day projecting to the world what an archaic country pakistan is . any rape cases in india that are world famous ....cant think of any . musharraf makes a speech at UN trying to project a soft image of pakland and gets royally screwed by women organizations and NGO's that it turns into a circus and he has to walk out. lol its all perception dude . tourism in india is a billion dollar industry dude ...this year wer had everyone from michael doughlas to catherine zeta jones...elizabeth hurley...christina augilera...beyonce...linda evangalista...richard gere ...pierce brosnan .....steven segal comin just for vacationing ...not to mention half a dozen international bands perform to packed crowds from sting to pink floyd to michael learns to rock . sorry bro .....there are no comparisons . now if you want authentic international website figures for tourism ...for all the celebs that visited india ......or how huge bollywood is gettin ....then lets do it . lets play this game to the end dude....everything from foriegn investment to lifestyle ..from economics to politics...from tourism to bollywood ....anything u say .

Bollywood's Bond baddie Evening Standard 25 October 2005
Bollywood's leading bad boy has been cast as the villain opposite Daniel Craig in Casino Royale - the next Bond movie.
Look here too!
• New Bond: I hate guns • Gallery: Daniel Craig unveiled as Bond
Gulshan Grover, who has played hundreds of evil characters in a career spanning three decades, will take the role of Le Chiffre in the film based on Ian Fleming's first James Bond book.
Grover, 50, said: "To be in Casino Royale would be a real honour to me and my country."

He added: "Shooting is due to begin in February in Prague and although I do already have commitments I will drop everything if necessary."
Grover, who is divorced and was recently dating former Miss World Diana Hayden, is a big fan of Bond films.
He said: "In India the character of the villain is so integral to our storytelling. I have always enjoyed playing memorable 'bad men' and what villains are more memorable than the Bond villains such as Blofeld from You Only Live Twice and Scaramanga from The Man With The Golden Gun."
He added: "I have played so many negative characters in my time that people in India are often too scared to talk to me."
Aoen productions, which owns the Bond franchise, has been trying to boost 007's popularity in the Asian market for several years.
In 1997's Tomorrow Never Dies they cast Michelle Yeoh as a Bond girl, and also reportedly considered Indian actress Aishwarya Rai for 2002's Die Another Day.
Grover will be the first Indian to star in a Bond film since tennis star Vijay Amritraj and Kabir Bedi who both acted in 1983's Octopussy. The actor, who lives in Mumbai with his son Sanjay, met Prince Charles yesterday at Clarence House.
He said: "It was great to meet the Prince, he is a man who I have much admiration for and his commitment to the Prince's Trust is excellent."
Grover has acted in several films outside India including the 2002 thriller Beeper with Harvey Keitel. His Bollywood hits include the 2003 remake of Double Indemnity, Jism (The Dark Side of Desire) and the 1995 hit Rangeela (Colours). His latest film Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena (One Player, One Temptress) is out on 18 November.
# Daniel Craig has confessed he has one problem with playing Bond - he hates guns. Craig, 37, who will wield 007's Walther PPK in Casino Royale, said: "I hate handguns. As long as they are around people will shoot each other. Bullets have a nasty habit of finding their target - and that's what's scary about them."

Bond to fight Bollywood Baddie
According to latest buzz, Gulshan Grover from Bollywood will play the villain in next Bond movie Casino Royale. Recently almost all the Hollywood film makers felt the need to market their films among the Asian population by going for overseas actors. Even in the previous Bond flick, Tomorrow Never Dies, Michelle Yeoh played the Bond girl role. After returning from a film shoot from Malaysia, Gulshan himself revealed that he has already met with the producers and he will be heading to Prague by January to work in the film. The actor said, “I met the producers in LA a week ago. They are yet to announce this on their official website. That’s because they first want to announce the next Bond. As of now, they haven’t zeroed in on who will play the central role. At least 300 actors have been considered for the role.” The actor is really exalted and added: “The villain is usually charismatic and has a significant role. In many Bond films, the heroine is the villain's love interest.” But there is no official announcement from the studio. The rumour has it that the casting was over by last week itself including the actor to play Bond and they kept it under wraps and a big official announcement is expected soon. http://english.galatta.com/entertainment/livewire/english/li vewire/id/130/news/baddie.html

October 3, 2005 - The Times of India spoke with Indian actor Gulshan Grover (The Second Jungle Book: Mowgli & Baloo) who confirmed that he has indeed been cast as "the ultimate villain" in the next James Bond film, Casino Royale. Grover says he will begin filming in Prague this January.
"I met the producers in LA a week ago. They are yet to announce this on their official website," the actor informed the Times. "That's because they first want to announce the next Bond. As of now, they haven't zeroed in on who will play the central role. At least 300 actors have been considered for the role."
The adversary in Ian Fleming's novel Casino Royale is called Le Chiffre. "The villain is usually charismatic and has a significant role. [SPOILER!] In many Bond films, the heroine is the villain's love interest," Grover added.
The 50-year-old Grover was first mentioned as a possible Bond baddie this past March by MI6.
Grover previously penned an article about Bond villains that can be read here.
Meanwhile, The Belfast Telegraph spoke with crooner Tony Christie who confirmed his long-rumored involvement with Casino Royale. "So I'm watching all the old Bond films," Christie told the Telegraph. "My writing partner Peter Callendar and I are getting in the mood for the kind of big ballad that will stir the audience before the action starts."
As CommanderBond.net points out, however, "Christie may be penning a track for submission to the film's producers for their consideration." CBn says that a number of performers have recorded tracks for past Bond films that were considered and then passed over.
In other Casino Royale crew news, the IMDb lists Stuart Baird as the editor of the film. Baird had long been one of Hollywood's top editors (often called in to re-cut a troubled film) before seguing to directing, helming Executive Decision and Star Trek: Nemesis.
India Times
Gulshan Grover (C) appears ready for Casino Royale.
Eon Productions and the Sony Brass will reportedly make a final decision this week on the casting of James Bond. The rumored frontrunners are Daniel Craig, Henry Cavill, Sam Worthington and Goran Visnjic. There is always the possibility, however, that the role will go to someone else entirely. Interestingly enough, CommanderBond.net founder Dave Winter was flying from Los Angeles to London last week and saw that Scottish thesp and past rumored 007 contender Dougray Scott was on his plane. See the photographic evidence here.
Hmmm. A rumored Bond candidate flying to London during the week when final tests were being conducted. What does this mean? Probably nothing. Sometimes an actor flying from L.A. to London is just that.
What is interesting is the stony silence IGN FilmForce received when it inquired with Scott's reps at Endeavor about whether he went to London to meet with the Bond filmmakers. A "no comment" became an "I don't know." Follow-up e-mail inquiries went unanswered. Inconclusive but curious.
Scott, however, seemed to have ruled himself out of the running as far as back as 2000 after confirming that Eon informally approached his agents about the role. "I'm very flattered that people consider me good enough to play James Bond, but I couldn't play that part any better than Sean [Connery] did. To be honest, I am not convinced I am suave enough for the part," Scott said at the time. "I wouldn't even play one of the baddies, because I've been there and done that already with Mission: Impossible II."

well srk and salamn and aamir or fardeen or zayed are not role models cause they are muslims but cause they are successful and smart people . aamir had a kid out of wedlock and everyone knows how many times salman khan has been arreted drunken driving ..last time he even ran over two people . fardeen was arrested for possession of coke and shahrukh is as secular as it get s even has a temple in his house and brings his kid up in both the faiths.all of them drink and party and f**k around like mad . and of course they would cause they are high profile movie stars who have the world to their feet. so no they are not the kinda muslims you would see in pakistan but are secular guys who have had interracial relationships and marriages and live their life a breeze not bein constrained by any islamic laws like how it is in your country.
