yeah i saw 'KHAWHISH' on video long time ago....more than 10 years ago. the film was just 'ok'. it was more likely an art movie rather than a commercial flick. therefore it can be seen as good and daring attempt in the industry.
the only drawback of the movie was the poor acting especially dialogue delievery of MOIN-UR-REHMAN who played the lead role as he was the producer as well. later he also produced the drama serial called 'AWAAZEIN' (aired on PTV) based on UK immigrants starring SOHAIL ASGHAR,SHAFI MOHD,AFZAL AHMED,ASAD,FAZILA QAZI, TAHIRA WASTI,BEHROZ SAZWARI ETC. IT WAS A REALLY GOOD DRAMA BUT again MOIN-UR-REHMAN was awful
the movie was based on the story of an honest police man and some corrupt politicians whose sons were involved in rape case. NEELI was a guest appearence for just one descent song. QAZI WAJID and BABRA SHARIF also played well and it was the first break through for SALMAN SHAHID as a villian in the movie.
the film was very descent with strong storyline with unusual and impressive climax
but at the end of the day u can't blame the audience as lead role was very weak and bizzare
