Developing countries have become interested in atomic engineering
More than 40 developing countries have expressed recently the interest in programs of development of atomic engineering, informs Washington Post.
Such interest of developing countries to nuclear technologies causes serious fears of experts in the field of non-distribution of the nuclear weapon. In their opinion, some developing countries can be covered with the peace purposes for creation of arsenals of the nuclear weapon.
The majority of the become interested countries have paid the look on an atomic energy for the economic reasns connected with a sharp rise in prices for petroleum and fuel. Thus many Near-Eastern countries, such as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates having huge stocks of petroleum have become interested in atomic engineering also. Most likely, these countries are disturbed by possibility of development of race of nuclear arms in region of which they do not wish to drop out. And tone here sets Iran with its nuclear ambitions.
According to Associated Press, seven Arabian states declared on May, 12th that they have developed the joint plan on development of nuclear power in region. Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates have participated in plan working out.
