explanation: When a country is divided on smaller issue and that is harder to address because everybody has their own issues, large issues of common interests grab everybody's attention. War on a country unites people despite of their internal (minor) differences. Why do you think Putin, Bush and Blair were relected? I guess you got enough lead there
