Smooth_daddy:
you are in my prayers.
InshaAllah, I am making Aitekaf.
You keep praying for me too sis.
well Im gonna miss yah BRO!
My nana abu sits on aitekaf every year. The last 10 days. And I
remember on chand raath he used to come home with his son,
grandchildren, and friends. All the guys as they walked him to the front
door would shout: "takhbhir...Allah-hu-Akhbar."
All the women would be sitting inside decorating their hands in mendhi.
And we would all run to look out the window...as grandpa would come in
with flower necklaces around his neck and a big happy face.
We would hug him and greet him.
*I miss my family.
I almost started to cry yesterday. I called my Grandma. She was so happy
to hear from me. I asked her what she was doing. She said: "Meh
samosa banondi ah." she was making samosas.
I told her: "Mom (i call grandma "MOM")...tussi samosa lakay ajo the meh
daal, chaval, they raathay banondi payee ah."
She goes: "Pooth jeh tu neray hoondi the meh roz ajandi." (Daughter if
you were closer I would come everyday). <-- This part killed me. I
wanted to cry.
