There is nothing called "absolute freddom" exists any where. Freedom -- a relative term loosely used in political statements. Essentially, boys and girls, men and women can not ever have exact equal freedoms except for certain areas of common domains. I don't want to lecture here but for every discussion on such vast issues we must define some parameters. I largely agree with mmja but there are debateable isses which may take the discussion in a very different direction.
So which freedom are we refering to?
Freedom to religion, freedom of expression, freedom to make choices...??
