salam is the greeting of the pardise....Allah will present this same greeting to his slaves who would be granted paradise and entered into it....the ultimate peace and protection.
unfortunately, Muslims have a low self-esteem these days and they find pride in non-muslim practices. They think adopting non-muslim practices make them cool, modern and successful. They have lost pride in what Allah has gifted to them, they rather feel ashamed of it
There is not a greeting in the world better than the salam....
