Hi, I’ve been dealing with some discomfort on the outside of my ankle for a few weeks. It seems to flare up when I exercise or after any physical activity. I’m not sure what’s causing it, but I’m starting to worry it might be something more serious. Has anyone experienced similar pain, and what treatments worked for you?

Hey! I had a similar issue with lateral ankle pain a while back. It really got in the way of my workouts and daily activities. After trying some rest and ice, I decided to get professional help and went to Gramercy Physical Therapy https://gptny.com/anklefoot in Manhattan. They specialize in treating all types of ankle pain, including pain on the outer side of the ankle, and their treatment made a huge difference for me. They use a combination of therapies, like Active Release Technique® (ART) to target any scar tissue that might have been causing the pain. They also did some strength exercises to help with stability, and we worked on improving my range of motion. The progress was quick, and I noticed a big reduction in the discomfort. If you’re not sure what’s going on, it’s definitely worth seeing a specialist. Gramercy Physical Therapy is great at diagnosing and treating the root causes of ankle pain, and they really helped me get back to being active without worrying about injury. Give them a try if you’re looking for relief!
