I sit alone in my office reflecting on us being apart,



Enjoying the time only to write what's in my heart.



I hear the others chatting and try to block the sound,



Feeling the sadness in my heart that you're not around.






I wish I could explain how I feel without you here,



Perhaps an empty shell that wishes you were near.



When you're away from me my soul hurts with an ache



There's no way I can be happy, I can't even try to fake.






When you're with me, I feel so special each and every time



So wonderful that if any better, then it would surely be a crime



I know that you have other friends that force you to decide,



But you never make me feel guilty, intruding or put aside.





All that I feel from you is that I am your number one,



This makes me smile cause I am the earth to your brilliant sun.

There is such loneliness inside of me, with a slight hint of pain.






To feel the warmth of your body, and the beating of your heart,



Always waiting to hold you tight in my arms until we have to part.
