No offence charizmatic but Gulaboo is going to be something different as the script has been written by famous novel writer Razia Butt.

On the other habd I am surprised by you Paki Lion as what do exepct from a small budgeted film like Zibakhana. The film has gone to nearly 20 different film festivels around the world.

It has got great reviews every here. One has to give credit to Omar Ali Khan. Before this he restored the 1960s classic B&W film "Zindalaash" which was the first Pakistani horror film. The film got released on DVD internationally. Zindalaash also got great reviews considering the film was nearly 40 years old infact on one website it made to the top ten films of the year.

Its nice that Sulakhain is being shown on Geo but why at 4.00 p.m its too early. Hoppo most people are celebrating Eid on Thursday in UK.

Lets see how good the print will be as the print that was released on DVD was brilliant.

Great stuff Afridi Hasnat especially from someone who is so young. You will go a long way.

The UK business of KKL is in Indian rupees not Pakistani Rupees. In Pakistani Rupees it amounts to about 1.375 crore rupees.

Why a film on Allam Iqbal. I mean no disrespect to Allam Iqbal but we currently need films to be made on modern themes like KKL.

Sahiba Sumar is a Pakistani but lives in India and has for many years. The film deplicts the start of Zia-ul-Haq's martial law dictatorship. The Zia-ul-haq's year's were the worse in Pakistan's 60 year history.

It was during Zia's rule that Cinema and performing arts were killed in Pakistan.

The film had been shown before in 2004 on Channel 4 in the UK.

Great news. KKL should have also won the best film award at the recent Indian film Festival.

KKL which was recently shown at the Indian film Festival in Goa got a standing ovation. The film in fact was shown twice but still the Indian Jury gaved the award for best film to an Hungarian film.

Any how what do expect from the Indians.

Agree with you again Charizmatic. He is still stuck in the 1990s. The recent example is Jhoomer. He needs to move forward with the changing times.

KKL has broken alot of myths of Pakistani Cinema which even surprised me. This can be an inspiration to Syed Noor.

I read a few days back that Syed Noor has nearly completed the shooting of "Pride Of Honour". The last few days shoot is left and the film will be completed at Rahim Yaar Khan.

The film will be shown at different film festivals early next year.

On that account Syed Noor has tough competition from Mahreen Jabbar's "Ramchand Pakistani".

Any how all the best to Syed Noor.

Waqar thats rubbish. The film is a flop and even Everready pictures the distributors of the film have decided not to release any more Indian film in Pakistan. They have incurred huge losses over GodFather and the other Indian films they have released so far.

Both films have taken years to complete and still the film makers don't want to release them. I can't understand whats the delay.

Anjaam being a Iqbal Kashmiri film I don't have much hope.

I Have no idea of the Goa film festivel but one thing for sure its not the first pakistani film to be sent to an Indian film festival. In fact the last film to be sent was Shaan's Mujhey Chand Chahiye.

According to my knowledge the film has not even started yet. Anyhow this Heer Ranjha will never complete with the classic Heer Ranjha made in the 1970s starring Ijaz and Firdous.

Don't take my word but watch the film. Just the music on its own is completely out of this world.

The film should have gone to the London film festival. Still hats of to Shoaib Mansoor. One cannot get tired of praising this genius. The way he has put Pakistan and Pakistani Cinema on the world map.

Can't wait for his next film project.

A true genius. One feels really sorry for Saqib Malik that after 3 years he still has not found a producer for his film.

Shame on us as we are just wasting our talent. Just imagine had Saqib Malik been in India.

Here is someone who is so passionate about Cinema and can do wonders for our film industry.

Shaan made a comment recently that its been over 3 months since the release of KKL and no other filmmaker has come forward with a similiar project.

We desperately need new people coming forward.

The script writer is Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar is supposed to be a be good writer. I agree with you Charizmatic the story is outdated.

Recently Shehzad Rafique chose Ayub Khawar to write the script for MS and he came out with another outdated script. Ayub Khawar is rated as one of the best writers of television.

Currently the biggest problem of our films is scripts and new subjects should be attempted.

Why not try writers like Samrad Khosat and Wasi shah.

This is great news and I have to eat my words.Any how I am really pleased.

Well Geo must be kicking themselves. Had they released the film on schedule and arranged a bigger release the results would have been much better.

A figure of at least £150,000 was achievable. Even know £75,000 - £100,000 is achievable. Lets see whats happens for the rest of thw week and next weekend.

Even yesterday some of friends went to Cineworld Wandsworth and they came back because it was house full.

I also agree with you Pakistani12 £15,000 to £18,000 max. I wish I could agree with you yoyo. At the Odeon Trafford Centre only one show of KKL is being shown daily. Thats going to have an effect on the average screening also.

As I said before Geo have totally messed up the release of KKL in UK. KKL could have easily had become the highest grossing Pakistani film ever.

By the way Zee are currently airing the promos of KKL also but its a bit too late.

Lets wait for tomorrow and the official figures.

Saw KKl yesterday, its was the Saturaday late night show. They were about 35 people in the hall.

Firstly the film did not have subtitles something which some people who were watching the film complained. Even though the pirate DVD does have subtitles.

2-3 scenes which were on the pirate DVD were cut from the film somehow.

Another thing the Pakistan portion of the film especially the outdoors had a brownish look to it which was not on evident on the DVD.

One thing for sure most people who saw the film with me yesterday infact had seen KKL before on the pirate DVD as most of them even knew the dialogues and the scenes by heart.

Just wished that Geo had not messed up the release of KKL in the UK and the film should have been simultaneously release here when it did in Pakistan.

By the way Yoyo did you watch it at Wandsworth Cineworld.

I can't see this film getting released on the 16th with the current policital situation in Pakistan. The emergency situation is going to hurt the film industry. Sad news for everyone.

MCC was shown continously for 3 days at night time on PTV Global with a pathetic print.
