Crystal Bottle

Crazy dreams of a crystal bottle
Sitting there upon my shelf
Inside-Out that crystal bottle
I remember nothing else…

Then one bright morning
I awoke from strange dreams
To find my reality
Is not as real as it seems
It was too weird a feeling
had to be in my mind
Tried to rub my eyes
To see what I might find

Suddenly I realized
This is not my room
Surrounded by glass-like walls,
I discovered, none to soon

That I was in that crystal bottle
Sitting on the shelf
All alone
All by myself

I Couldn't even move
The walls were too tight
My body was numb
All I had was my sight
But then I saw her
To the shelf she came
At once I knew her
Tried to call out her name

But I was trapped inside
And though I cried out loud
She could not hear
The muffled sound

For I was in a crystal bottle
Sitting on a shelf
Who can I blame for this?
None but myself

Through kalaidescope windows
I saw the love of my heart
These thick transparent barriers
Kept us far, far apart
I could not touch her
She could not hear my cries
Tears of frustration
Came to my eyes

Sensing my hurt
And hoping to heal
She gave the bottle a kiss
That I could not feel

For I was in a crystal bottle
Sitting on a shelf
How can she save me?
Will she give up herself?

Tear after tear
My vision blurred
I could no longer see her
From the edge of the absurd
I had no hope
Enough was enough
I wished I could end it
Just then she pulled the stopper off

And Oh, like a genie
I thought at once I'd be free
But I wasn't. Nothing happened
So she… got in with me.

Not just dreams of a crystal bottle
I'm still up upon my shelf
Trapped inside that crystal bottle
All alone, just her- and myself.
