All my life i have kept myself to myself, i feel that people have no business in my business, but you still feel quite paranoid (news leaks and sooner or later ppl know everything down to the dirt under your fingernails) and when your back is turned whispers start to float. It's always the usual suspect, u can spot a gossip from miles away

SK, I don't know anything about you, but my response will only help you if your understanding syncs with ...you will find out.

Know that, when someone backbites you, they are gifting you their good deeds for free and taking your bad ones in trade-off. So you be content to find it saved with Allah if you are patient and hopeful of meeting your Lord.

One time, a great scholar found out about a person who spoke ill behind his back. This knowledgeable person prepared a nice present for that person and took it to his house. Person asked the scholar of reason for the present, he presented his gratitude to him for scrubbing his sins with ill speech.

Secondly, those who talk bad behind you, they are not your friends becuz they thrive on your flesh. If you are close to them, try to correct them with politeness. Confrontation without insult or public outburst may bring about desireable changes. Insha-Allah

One who speaks ill of others to you, rest assured, 'll speak ills of you to others. So, discourage and resist gossip of others in your presence.

Gossip is a disease of heart and tounge is its tools.

Last but not least, pray alot and ask Allah to forgive and guide such persons who backbite, angels will make the same dua for you.
