John Rocks At Zinda Bash
Ddamas and association with Sanjay Gupta organised a fashion show to promote the film Zinda and the brand Ddamas.
The event started late post 10 30 pm and the guests were already getting restless. But Sanjay Dutt’s cool entry made every one back in action. Dutt kept quite and hardly spoke much on the stage, But the one who could deliver a perfect speech was John Abrham while Lara sat pretty with Dutt. Models walked the ramp and Pakistani band Strings performed live on stage and both John and Sanjay joined them in their performance. Interestingly, both John and Sanjay feature in the music video for that track and for the first time Sanjay Dutt plays the drums for real.
Not many would know that just like Saif Ali Khan. Dutt plays the bass guitar very well besides the drums. John prove to be media’s delight as he was the only star who entertained his fans with pictures and bytes to TV channels. One young lady even requested John t speak to her daughter and guess what John was kind enough and spoke to the kid.

overseas business- All Eyes On 'Rang De Basanti'!
With no new film hitting the screens on Friday giving the other two movies a long run, there wasn't much new to look forward to this weekend. While the verdict on FAMILY - TIES OF BLOOD( average) and ZINDA( success) is crystal clear by now, all eyes are on the next big film, RANG DE BASANTI, which opens this week.other releases have been postponed to next friday cause of the stiff competition from this aamir khan movie.
Aamir's previous release, MANGAL PANDEY - THE RISING, had opened big in U.K. [opening weekend: £ 820,259], U.S.A. [$ 1,231,018] and Australia [Aus. $ 880,456]. The response to RANG DE BASANTI is keenly awaited.

poor you .....his name is in the credits and he made money. check the sources. the days of lifting tunes are over and the law has been strngthened. in Zinda , strings have been mentioned as one of the music directors. abrar made a whopping amount for the song. guess they are all coming to India now.

why old movie ...they should let new movies ....indian movies means more money for exhibitors which translates into better theatres and stuff...and a general culture of movies. its highly unlikely in pakistan though cause someone or other would stop it citing cultural onslaught. its high time pakistan stops watching all this pirated sh*t. i was reading somewhere that pakistan has just about 89 theatres left . compare that to about 13,000 in India and pretty much all of them are dolby and Dts . besides these there are about 300 multiplexes. movies is an evolving culture and i dont think pakistan would have it cause it means there has to be an economic, social , political, socieiteal and artistic ambience where families go out and have an enjoyable day at the multiplexes. pakistan being a restrictive society , it ll be dificult to establish a fun and frolic artistic enviornment. anyways ..sohni mahiwaal is an awesome movie , old though. sunny looks gorgeous and the movie is quite captivating. regarding the exchange of indian and pakistani movies the reality is that noone would see a pakistani movie when the colossus big budgeted bollywood blockbuster movies are playing so pakistani movies wont run in India or anywhere in the world unless you make movies true to your culture and society. Indian audiences are a very pampered and spoiled lot getting entertainment from all over the world . the society has a culture of arts and entertainment and we absorb about 1000 Indian movies and about 500 Hollywood movies a year besides a multitude of film festivals where cinema from all over the world is celebrated. millions go to movies everyday and the statistic is that an average indian goes to the cinemas about 25 times a year. pakistani movies dont stand a chance in the mainstream cinema . but you could make some artistic movies and play them for people who are interested in that kind of cinema.
