Debutant producer Subi Samuel’s Alag is slated to hit theatres this week. Those who have managed a sneak peak at the film believe that it is indeed different. Unfortunately the same can’t be said about the publicity design and posters. Because we stumbled across the poster of The Shawshank Redemption. And it speaks for itself.

No points for guessing where the poster of Alag has been inspired from! What’s interesting is that the themes of the two films are completely different. Subi Samuel, responsible for Alag is known for his work in photography and publicity designs. So we don’t know what prompted this blatant ‘inspiration.’ Maybe, he just ran out of ideas. We think the next time, he should try something truly alag.
