Watch the lavender sky at sunset,
the brilliance of the day waves goodbye.
Tinges of pink weaved like patchwork,
the moon creeps slowly into the sky.
Far behind me, beyond the mountains,
sun has collected another day.
Clouds drifting by on an ocean breeze,
now twilight time is on the way.
The sunset, one of nature's treasures,
giving splendor for you to behold.
Though going away, it shall return,
with a vision more precious then gold.
God painted the sunset's tapestry,
with colors to sooth your soul within.
Pallete full of imagination,
anticipated beauty sets in.
Disappears beyond the horizon,
captivated by this time of day.
The lavender sky turns charcoal gray,
bid a fond farewell, day fades away.

A tiny spark, a patch of blue,
keep searching for a sign from you.
Without you I am incomplete,
won some battles and met defeat.
I am your child, this I know,
you sat and watched my faith grow.
Moving mountains, rolling boulders,
lifting burdens off these shoulders.
To recollect an inner peace,
feel the spirit, within release.
Not to deny His sacrifice,
the cost so dear, He paid the price.
Come give me wisdom, give me grace,
help me through these sad times I face.
Be my shield when tears fall like rain,
Lord, don't let me get lost again.
My broken heart, come make it whole,
bring back the sun, that heartache stole.
Let me rejoice and bask once more,
