Hints of final fragrances dally,
as summer comes to rest.
Fond seashore memories we tally,
soon autumn dorns it dress.
Bring forth palette of Creator's hues,
burnt orange and crimson red,
Cocoons to be spun and leaves to lose,
geese fly south overhead.
Come deck the night sky oh harvest moon,
light the fields, gather round.
Come reap the crops we sowed in June,
moonbeams dance on the ground.
Rose petals shall fall, yet thorns remain,
reminds us summer past.
Stems brittle, prickly still causes pain,
cycles of life contrast.
So much of God's beauty to partake,
inhale, senses to please.
Tapestry waves as colors awake,
hello my autumn breeze.

What would I do if you were standing here,
touched my hand as you looked in my eyes?
Would my lips start to quiver and tremble,
would my heart start to pound, make me sigh?
It would be a dream come true to see you,
these eyes would be filled with tears of joy.
You would touch my heart deep inside of me,
with your smile so devilish and coy.
In the very first moment our eyes meet,
I could not contain the happiness I felt.
So warm I would feel as you squeeze my hand,
feel so breathless as you make my heart melt.
To stroll with you on a sun shiney day,
hand in hand walking as friends side by side.
Hearts and minds race a mile a minute.
so much to think of, so much to decide.
We stop for a moment in sweet embrace,
pulling me close my head rests on your chest.
Wanting to stay in your arms forever,
fighting what our true feelings now suggest.
Just holding each other, not letting go,
wanting this moment to last for all time.
Our love unspoken, but felt in our hearts,
for all time I give you this heart of mine.
