Gingerbread Latte
---------------------


I would like to order a latte,       
one third espresso, nice and steamy.
Pour the same time, I like that way,
two thirds will be milk, nice and creamy.

Steamed milk and foam, garnish on top,
nutmeg, gingerbread cookies we crush.
It is tasty, good to the last drop.
now it is ready, creamy and lush.

Serve mine in a glass, napkin to hold,
piping hot milk could easily burn.
Will not accept latte that is cold,
satisfaction or I shall return.

Let Ink And Love Flow

Into a journal my thoughts I write,
early morning or darkness of night.
A calming peace with pencil in hand,
writing words only I understand.

Writing about love so far away,
my mind daydreams of another day.
My inner thoughts relax me and heal,
take away the loneliness I feel.

Every word I write comes from within,
upon my face, a smile and grin.
No other will ever take your place,
never forgotten, your warm embrace.

My heart overflows, but I must hide,
all my love for you, felt deep inside.
Only known to me and known to you,
as i write these words, loving and true.

Distance does not matter, we still care,
when I close my eyes, I feel you here.
Into my life, my heart you did touch,
always and ever to love you so much.

God Sends Us Friends

Arms of compassion warmth and more,
reaching across from an unkind war.
Like a flower, friendship would bloom,
sunshine brightened war's doom and gloom.

This bond still remains unbroken,
feelings run deep, though unspoken.
Every night my prayers were for you,
to keep you safe in all you do.

Earned my respect, you stood tall,
for you answered your counrtry's call.
Missed your family so dear,
brave at heart never showed fear.

Forged a friendship, across the sea,

back to the states, celebration.

Through many storms we endure,
friends on a course steady and sure.

Catching A Dream

To dare to dream, to dare to hope,
though may be found beyond the scope.
It starts a thought then a vision,
Mulling over your decision.

To dare not dream, or beyond see,
the realm of possibility.
Sometimes it takes, a lifetime long,
for hearts to sing, loves sweet song.

We gather thoughts, memories,
of winter wind, a summer breeze.
A heart to touch, a hand to hold,
life's miracles as they unfold.

Through time and space as stars fall,
we see the power of love enthral.
To fan the flames, to have desire,
you must keep faith to brave the fire.

Do not let go, wish on that star,
it falls for you, to where you are.
Keep standing tall and persevere,
reach for them, your dreams are here.

Wishing For Love

Into the fountain, three coins were tossed,
amid gray clouds, despondent and lost.
Stood broken hearted, ripples appear,
disguising my sadness, disguising my fear.

Face of sadness, staring back at me,
mirror image reflects tragedy.
There in the darkness, soft spoken voice,
saying, "sad or happy, it is our choice"

Turning around, I saw standing there,
a man with brown eyes, brown wavy hair.
Into the fountain his three coins fell,
he made three wishes, he did not tell.

Both lonely and filled with despair,
feeling so lost with no one to care.
Looking at me, he gave a smile.
come sit with me and talk a while.

So long ago, our wishes came true,
best friends we became and lovers too.
A marriage lasting for many years
leaving behind our tears and our fears.

Let's return to the fountain my dear,
toss in three coins and each say a prayer.
And thank the Lord for that fateful day,
when all our loneliness went away.

Our Forever Friendship

When night winds call out to me,
your name they whisper tenderly.
Beyond the hills that beckon near,
there sits someone, a friend so dear.

The moon shall rise, the sun shall set,
the times we share are heaven sent.
For blessed I was for meeting you,
friendship blossomed, God sent you.

Sharing tears and sharing laughter,
searching for dreams, running after.
Like fine wine, true friendship ages,
an open book, turning pages.

Boundaries to form protection,
to keep within our deep affection.
Lines are made we dare not cross,
for fear of losing friendship's loss.

A friendship grew that was so rare,

Where Lost Dreams Go

As shadows pass in midnight skies,
I stand in awe and realize.
Beyond the cusp, beyond the moon,
so many dreams there lie in ruin.

Adrift at night they wander far,
a lost dream there for every star.
Dreams die when hopes are dashed,
wither away, emotions thrashed.

Tomorrows inspiration faded,
thoughts within became so jaded.
I did not see them slip away,
thought my dreams were here to stay.

A twinkle here, a twinkle there,
my dreams are floating everywhere.
Lost forever, a path unknown,
a shooting star, a rolling stone.

Dreams were there for the taking,
but not when love is forsaking.

A dear friend stopped by today,
been so long since he went away.

even though it had been a while.

Sitting there with a cup of brew,
only me, the coffee and you.

before we left our love behind.

Silent Sounds Of Summer

Swaying trees to and fro,
sooth me oh summer breeze.
Sunflowers stand so still,
savoring seeds that please.

Scents sweet from flowers,
saturates the senses.
Sharing nature's fragrance,
sub-tile dreams pretenses.

Spread throughout the valley,
steeped in hushed allure.
Symphonies still unheard,
so simple and demure.

Euphoria amongst the tide,
as the sea slowly ebbs and flows.
Ride the waves of uncertainty,

Instilled with imagination,

within your grasp waiting afar.

Distant skylines sparkle anew,
soft breezes whisper come to me.
So wonderful, is what you are,
our memories seem heavenly.

Thoughts build to a crescendo,
come hither wanders in my mind.
An ocean journey to find you,
since the day you left me behind.

The innocence when we first met,
returns as the waves crash ashore.

Fairy Goddess

Moonlit shadows stir beyond the bayou,
mystic music whispers upon the breeze.
cat of nine tails say come hither to me,
enticing fragrance of nectar from the bees.

This land of milk and honey for lovers,
your own never-land hidden far away.
You become the Goddess of the fairies,
for once you enter forever you stay.

Moss covered trees shimmer in the twilight,
hollow cypress, these fairies call home.
Unseen and forgotten through the ages,
deep into the swamp they silently roam.

Spreading pixie dust for all young lovers,
an irresistible force far and wide,
Sparkles in Heaven upon the moonbeams,
this hypnotic power you can not hide.

My longing to follow overcomes me,
all senses fill up with love and desire,
Mesmerised by the dust of the fairies,
lost in never-land deep within the mire.

I shall remain their Goddess till I die,
then a wee fairy I shall become too.
Helping lovers fall in love every night,
the fairy dust makes you say, I love you.

A Glorious Morning

Stretching, reaching to the sky,
as lavender hues dominate the sunrise,
dawn, spawns the morning glory.

Scrambles along the picket fence,
echoing salutations to a new day,
twisting, insisting it meanders.

Rambling at the gardens edge,
resplendent in all it's glory,
unending, intending it silently creeps.

This flowering Morning Star,
rest in the mid day sunlight,
beautifies, intensifies with splendor.

Deep throat-ed it speaks beauty,
scaling the trellis this perennial abounds,
seeking, peeking towards the sun.
