statuesque, these pillars of gold
ever changing drifts to behold

Sunset harbors the lonely loon
another day shall soon depart
main sail hoisted for voyage start

Symphony of whitecaps in tune
harmonize midnight melody
Mother Nature shall calm the sea

Starlit night in the month of June
breeze of summer, whispering soft
echo beyond the clouds aloft

Night to remember, blue lagoon
sillouette of lovers physique
encapture midnight sail mystique

When Dawn Breaks

Another day as morning creeps,
as the dark restless night departs.
Now locked in my heart for keeps,
a life time of broken hearts.

Loneliness filters in my mind,
with the sun of another day.
Wondering why life is unkind,
heartache that never goes away.

The moment I open my eyes,
I am overwhelmed missing you.
Eyes tear with whimpering sighs,
memories in my mind play through.

Why did you leave, why did you go,
emptiness deep within my soul.
As dawn breaks, I do not know,
if I will ever again feel whole.

Uninvited are my sorrows,
yet it greets me, time and again.
How do I face my tomorrows,
will I find happiness, where, when?

The Fairy And The Magic Pen
--------------------------------


The broken hearted fairy, lay upon the lily pad,
Dreaming of the day he would find, the love he never had.
Landing next to him, a fairy, cute as she could be.
just one look and he wanted to say, will you marry me.

He asked her name, where she lived, then she flew away,
wanting to write her a letter, not knowing what to say.
He sat down with a magic pen, and much to his delight,
the pen stood up by itself, then the pen began to write.

Upon the paper the pen wrote, romantic poetry.
it wrote words of love and forever, for her eyes to see.
He flew to her house, set on the door with a bouquet,
first he knocked on her door, then he quickly ran away.

As the fairy read the poem, her heart just started pounding,
the words were quite beautiful, and they were quite astounding.
She quickly flew to the lily pad, to find her new love,
guided into his arms, by soft wind currents up above.

She said, I love what you wrote for me, will you write me more,
please write it just as lovely, as the poem you wrote before.
Stood the magic pen upon the paper, now let me think,
alas , lost at love again, the magic pen was out of ink.

Oh water rush from tributary,
river of life extroidinary.
Swirling eddy within my brain
swollen river of tear filled rain.

Drop by drop it floods my mind,
raging river of life unkind.
Overflowing from stormclouds dark,
unknown journey I now embark.

Around the bend, mysteries await,
my unknown fate to contemplate.
River rapids rushing much too fast,
into the future, out run the past.

Unstill waters remain quite deep,
from river banks the shadows creep.
Ever winding yet never ending,
like willow trees, forever bending.

Into our lives, storms come and go,
they make the mighty river flow.
In time we'll see the river's end,
the ocean blue around the bend .

Winter's Lonely Call

As winter calls my dreams appear,
again in sleep your face so clear.
The silence builds within the night,
a chill rolls in on death's past plight.

By fate your gone, by fate we met,
you took your life for past regret.
A man so kind a man so sweet,
a tortured soul who met defeat.

Within walls my heart confined,
the reasons why still undefined.
Since that day I searched for years,
met obstacles, cried many tears.

Still wanting love, not knowing when,
settled for less, time and again.
Years later, again my heart breaks,
found love but again it forsakes,

Broken hearts are all that I find,
one more today, one left behind.
Past and present turn out the same,
never fair in war or love's game.

Hoist the main sails with the sunrise
time to set sail beyond sparkling seas
the trade winds are beginning to stir
feel the warmth of the ocean breeze

Golden sunbeams tap dance on water
transforming nighttime into a new dawn
as the sunrise kisses the water good by       
voices give heed for the wind to spawn   

The sun seems to rise to the occasion
it's brilliance has welcomed a new day
drawing inspiration from its beauty
I look in awe as it takes my breath away

Admiration for a magnificent seascape
the ocean beckons come sail on me
let the currents take you far from home
sail on, let the horizon set you free

Looking past tomorrow in anticipation
the sloop glides gently across the sea
eyes fixated on the amazing sunrise
a tropical paradise awaits there for me

A Friendship Forever

You came into my life so willingly
a warm summer breeze on my face
we bonded in friendship so easily
no one, nor time can not erase

You listened intently with such care
opened up my heart to let you in
not knowing where we were heading
if a lasting friendship would begin

To my surprise we really connected
A loving friend you became to me
our emails shortened the distance
sent so many miles across the sea

It's been 6 months since I met you
two poets drawn to one another
respecting our love for our Savior
listening with care to each other

We promised to be friends forever
in our hearts we know that is true
thank you for always being there
know I will forever be here for you
