Awaking wildly at the start of Spring
Dazzling colours sway in the cool breeze
Joyfully stretching towards the light
Happiness is forming from the sight.
The bustling bees fly to the occasion
Ready to snatch their valuable nectar
Buzzing violently to warn the flower
Though it stands proud and does not cower.
Supportive friends clap their petals
Leaves are rustling with excitement
The bonds of friendship shall last forever
Even through the stormiest weather.
Summer arrives bringing comfort
Flowers disperse their tiny seeds
Raindrops fall, sun streams the sky
Flowers stick together, forming a tie.
But, Autumn draws nearer
Days narrow with darkness
Time ticks away and the petals wilt
Ready to forget the friendships once built.
Now Winter has begun
The bitter wind grows sharper
Flowers realise it's time to part
And each of them die, saddened in heart.
