well the director was coaxed to delete those dialogues outta the movie, cause following suit no actor is accepting movies that bad mouth pakistan. it s a mjor policy shift for bollywood and it s commendable never the less. bollywood is revered in most parts of teh world and the only repercussion these kinda 'stunts' entail is losing out on a huge fan base amongst the pakistanis and other muslim countries. keep it up akshay! we love ya

time to face reality- tere pyar mein was a low budgeted, deprived movie. compare that to gadar which was a lavish mega starrer. if personal feelings be detatched gadar was a far superior movie than tere pyaar mein. i have many sikh friends and when i told em about the movie ' ladki punjabaan ' they just smirked at teh fact that no indian girl would ever marry a pakistani guy and go to a regressive deprived place like pakistan where women are treated like shit . their argument is that india rocks as a place and so does the indian new generation and which girl in a right frame of mind would chuck allthe glamour and perks of a place like india and go to an uneventful place like pakistan. insulting but true

this ones specifically for nfak- u r hilarious man. talkin of adnan sami i agree he s a pakistani but u know what he is in india and applying for an indian citizenship- take cognizance of that fact, also why he s ' deserted' pakistan and moved bag and baggage to india. lol the amount of money u spend on one movie is the budget of a song there. i am talkin production values here. the strides in lollywood that u r talkin about- i m gonna volunteer some facts there, the movie yeh dil aapka hua or whatever had indian singers and choreographer, salkhein had indian technicians, and ur musicians are paid huge bucks to lend their songs. all pakistani singers wanna get to india and get into the thick of glamour and moolah. hooked on to looywood -naaaaaah, start making movies first [:D]

my friends , the rip off s that u r talkin about are the toast of world and nobody in pakistan sees lollywood movies, see the paradox there. i am an american studying cinema and i m talkin for the western world. if what u were sayin was true then why would ur so called stars chuck ur nationality and move bag and baggage to india in search of greener pastures. think about that. with all due respect ur country is still duking out the fact wether music and dance and cinema are immoral or not. i mean it s the 21st century for god sake. and now all american companies like 21st century fox and searchlight etc. are buyin stakes in india to make bollywood movies. being patriotic is fine but one has gotta be realistic. it s always the open progressive societies that are respected in the world and others just linger in the background and do their own shit which nobody else cares about . i dont believe the fact that one cant drink or have pre marital sex in ur country cause it s illegal- talkin about stone ages. eat ur heart out my friend cause u r deprived.

i dont what fighting back against indian movies entails .the whole world sees bollywood and nobody in pakistan sees lollywood movies. see the paradox there. i agree indians are ruining pakistan with their lavish productions but we have to approach this thing with sober realism that even if we make anti india movies nobody is gonna see em anyways. i think islam in general is losing out as far as world in general is concerned but narrowing it down to media blitz i think competition from india is overwhelming and pakistan doesnt have the resources or the cultural aptitude to fight it. i mean whos gonna watch shan or reema when they can watch a shahrukh khan or aishwarya rai.

ah ha , a forum on paki movies. well i am from the usa and i had no idea pakistan makes movies. it s a revelation. anyways i am a big bolly fan and i think it rocks. it s a great concept of filmmakin, locales and songs and dances plus they make a lot of sensible cinema. even if pakistan makes movies i shudder at the thought of what kinda movies a restricted, regressive society like pakistan would be makin. bollywood is the toast of the world right now and musicals are the order of the day. i went to india recently and was amazed at how much that country has progressed and modernised. it s in ur face obvious. always remember it s the open nonrestricted societies that make progress and i havent been to one single place in the world where bolly movies are not loved and enjoyed. this indian friend of mine was like 'watch 10 and u d be hooked ' and by god he was rite.
