smile Today I smiled, and all at once things didn't look so bad. Today I shared with someone else, a bit of hope I had. Today I sang a little song, and felt my heart grow light, And walked a happy little mile, with not a cloud in sight. Today I worked with what I had and longed for nothing more, And what had seemed like only weeds, were flowers at my door. Today I loved a little more and complained a little less, And in the giving of myself, I forgot my weariness. So don't forget to smile!

If I call you friend, You will always share a piece of my heart.
I will always pride myself, To always be true to you. As much as I need friends, So must you.
I will also share a place in your heart, To be there whenever you need me. I may not be there in flesh, But I will always be there in spirit.
I will cope with your moods, And try to understand your needs. When you are angry, I will laugh with you.
As sadness overwhelms you, We will cry together. If you feel down and kicked, I will pick you up and brush away your doubts.
When you think you can't continue, I will remind you that you can. As you become discouraged, I will boost your ego high.
At times when you wish to talk, My attention will be all yours. Being a friend I don't take lightly, It's my desire, never a chore.
At times when you must mourn, I shall mourn with you. If you need some silence, yet not be alone, We will sit together in the peace of quiet.

If I was one thing, I'd be a candle Lighting the way so you can handle Your life easier without woes Not having to fight with your foes. I'd help keep you from stumbling over Things blocking your path to an open door. If I light your path, life is easier, Even strong winds, my light will not deter. No matter what, I'm here for you To cheer you up when you are blue. Do not fret when times get tough, If things look down or kind of rough. Just remember, I'm always here, In your heart, close and near. I will help you out in every way, Happiness and love in your heart will stay. Don't blow me out, that's one request Unless it's me you do detest. I do not try to hurt anyone That isn't good or any fun. But one day you may leave me behind You may no longer need my light to shine. If that day comes, go on your way And I will hope to see you again one day. If one day, I don't appear, Do not worry, do not fear I may be gone, but in your heart The light I gave you did not depart. We've both been hurt, that's very true, but now I find I'm falling for you.
It's scary to feel the way I do. I keep remembering what my hearts been through.
Would you break it it if I gave it to you? Or would you mend it, and make it new?
Would you love me, and hold me tight? Reassuring me it'll be alright.
Would you Love me forever? Or just for awhile. Would my love be trusted? Or put on trial.
Would you be true, loving only me? Or would I be one of two or three.
