Food:I am a seafood freak. I love eating at PC and whenever I am in Karachi, I find myself coercing my friends to take me to a good seafood joint. Prawns are simply delicious and fish I can love on! Even at home, fish is what I crave and what I demand. I am not into junk as such and red meat does not appeal to me either.
Movies: I am a movie freak! On Sundays, I can watch up to three or four films and that too, one after the other! I do not find the local actors extraordinary but they are good in their own ways; people like Saba Pervaiz, Talat Hussain, and Nadeem have done a great job consistently. However, it is Robert DiNero who takes the trophy home! I am totally out of touch with Indian movies now because they have become rather mundane and stereotypical. However, Page 3 was a treat to watch! It is undoubtedly one movie that has left a great impact on me and kept me thinking long after the credits had rolled in.
Books: I am no bookworm! I just read magazines. Since I have done my masters in English Literature, I am done with Shakespeare and similar works. After a long day of shooting, I just want to relax with a copy of Reader’s Digest, Sunday, or Time magazine.
Friends: I hardly have more than four or five good friends and I can have a great time with them. They are mostly from my field and because I do not like to mingle with everyone, my circle remains small. I love chilling out with them; we watch movies, plays, eat out and what not! It is simply great having them around and I feel extremely comfortable with them.
Music: I am into all genres of music and my choice entirely depends on my mood. You may find me dancing around on hip-hop or drowning in the sea of soft, romantic songs! From the local scene, I think Ahmad Jahanzeb is doing a great job. And internationally, it has to be Beyonce. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s qawalis are a wonder and have a magically soothing effect on the senses.
