I search the sky of deepest blue,
then close my eyes and think of you.
Where would I be without your love,
your guiding light shines from above.
In my life so many blessings,
still I have second guessings.
for you my love I still hold dear,
whenever darkness may appear.
I hold on tight and contemplate,
thank God for you, accept my fate.
I grasp the light He shines on me,
that brings me hope and lets me see.
For the sun still shines every day,
some times the clouds get in the way.
But dawn will always follow night,
darkness will fade, become the light.
Let each new day bring me new hope,

Dream Too Far

Mindless clutter crowds my sleep state,
diminishing hope among this confusion,
teeters on the brink of my thoughts,
my reality murky.
To grasp the night from loneliness,
an impossibility yet to be found,
this goal, so unattainable,
never-ending in my mind.
Groping through darkened passageways,
happiness fades bringing about hopelessness,
anxious, as I await the morn,
silent screams echo my dreams.
No hours of comfort to quell fears,
absent, the safe haven among my dark night,
visible, the midnight torment,
closed eyes silently flutter.
