They long to hold you and pull you near, shield you from life's sorrows and fear. Give you warmth when cold winds blow, hold you forever and never let you go.
Within them a world for you and for me, one filled with love so tender and free. Love freely given as they wrap around, with you in my arms happiness is found.
Once rocked babies so tiny and small, held them close until they grew tall. Lifted them up as I waved good bye, as my son drifted to the heavenly sky.
Held within these arms love left behind, by my son and love of friendships so kind. Gather a lifetime of love wrapped within, once more love, in my life has come in.
God sent a friend my arms holds so dear, wrapped in our love whenever he's near. No longer lonely my arms reach for you, filled with joy and love sweet and new.
