The Pain Remains -----------------------
Too many dear lives were taken away. So hard to remember that fateful day, A peaceful day and a terrible blast, creating heartache that will forever last.
Pain still fills our heart, with much sorrow , we have hope, for a peaceful tomorrow. The answers were few, if we only knew, reasons for the heartbreak we still go through.
The clock stopped, that sad moment in time innocent people, a hideous crime. It has been a year, yet many still cry, loved ones gone, in the blink of an eye.
Cherished memories, we never forget, remember that day of worry and fret., The gates of Heaven opened wide that day, to ease their pain, God showed the way.

Looking For My Strength ----------------------------
They say it's darkest before the dawn the stillness can conjure such fright all our fears are so compounded by loneliness in the middle of the night
We lay there all alone with tears in our eyes as our thoughts begin to run wild wishing we could turn back time somehow longing the security of a mother and a child
We lay there praying silently as tears fall asking God why doesn't anybody care then tears turn into sobbing and weeping we then get swallowed up by our despair
Somehow we make it through the night we made it to another day to face the pain pain that love has eluded you once more and you will never be able to love again
The morning rises and brings the sunlight we feel the warmth of the dawning of the day just maybe, things today will be a little brighter and we can leave some of our sorrow to yesterday
For some unknown reason we will survive the heartache and darkest night of tears God never gives us more then we can bear pray, He'll give us strength to face our fears

Visions of the past -------------------------
Sitting up high, high above the great plains that once were Buffalo roamed, thousands of them maybe millions, thick, healthy herds so plentiful, beautiful, so natural……
The plateau where I am now sitting my fire burns my smoke tells a long story my pipe full and wanting my mind drifting, my body relaxed, my spirit soars……………
I am the bald eagle now soaring in the great clouds of the Creator over watching Mother Earth below my journey has just begun, a new path , a new direction, my life has new meaning……
My vision is new sight of that in which once was and that in which is to come………….
Sadly it was yellow hair, disease, destruction and finally death to all in his path……

And It was At that Age ---------------------------
And it was at that age... The winds found What they sought, uncertain souls. With unknown origins, The wind came, from winter or river. It was a new wind, carrying with it change, Change that called me to venture From civilization to the unknown of Solitude.
I stammered at it, unable to see it. The wind blew harder And something started in my soul, Fever or forgotten wings. I lifted off the ground and I Let the wind take me, dancing On the air. Suddenly I knew I knew of nothing yet everything at the same time, And suddenly I felt, The heavens unfasten, And open, Planets, All in routine disaster. All being shredded by the wind.
And I, minute bug, High on the great starry Vastness, Mysterious as I became One with the abyss, Sharing my joy with The stars, My heart broke loose on the wind.

My friend, my companion, my soul when I see you, you make me whole. I long for you so much each day and wish I had more things to say.

Take A Bow --------------
The years have come And the years have gone Some have been lost But even still live continues on In the blink of an eye The children are all grown Some of them have stayed Yet most of them have moved on We give love all our lives And are loved in return by others We learn to love our sisters and our brothers And to appreciate our fathers and our mothers As time passes by and we grow older The world around us changes as we age Then at some point we will all take a bow And leave this life's stage So when it's time to take a final bow Do so and exit stage right Then as we watch the curtains will draw And lights grow dim as with the fading light For when the time comes and you are called You need to make sure you set all things right For in this world we need to be certain That when we leave that Heaven is just on the other side of the curtain.
