Peaceful Journey

There she sits with only memories
from when the sun was shining high
love had danced across the stars
not meant to be it waved goodbye.

A trail of tears she has left behind
in many years of sorrow and pain
each time she let love in her heart
the sunshine has turned into rain.

So tired a broken woman is she
praying for God to set her free
longing for the peace of Heaven
she whispers please take me.

Wanting to leave this world behind
true love was not meant to be
no one knows of her broken heart
except the one she loves willingly.

Lord you give hope to the hopeless
you do miracles beyond imaginations
have mercy on her and take her home
Heaven, not earth fills expectations.

So Lord she is tired and so ready
to leave all her unhappiness behind
and feel the glory and joy of Paradise
she is so ready she would not mind.

My heart is full of untold pain
denied, buried so deep within
drifting in and out of reality
waiting for the day to begin.

Thoughts meander for awhile
my pain arises from yesterday
dreams scatter with the wind
all hope now dashed away.

Memories lost is the distance
lifetime's agony left unspoken
darkness eclipses the sunshine
hearts past and present broken

Images of embedded nuances
emotions now seem contrary
Imagination of magical force
a prolific poetess of literary.

The Pain Remains

Too many dear lives were taken away.
So hard to remember that fateful day,
A peaceful day and a terrible blast,
creating heartache that will forever last.

Pain still fills our heart, with much sorrow ,
we have hope, for a peaceful tomorrow.
The answers were few, if we only knew,
reasons for the heartbreak we still go through.

The clock stopped, that sad moment in time
innocent people, a hideous crime.
It has been a year, yet many still cry,
loved ones gone, in the blink of an eye.

Cherished memories, we never forget,
remember that day of worry and fret.,
The gates of Heaven opened wide that day,
to ease their pain, God showed the way.

God will provide what we all need.
Be thankful for blessings bestowed,
temptation we should always heed"

Faith can get lost by the wayside,
sometimes our lives get complicated.
We can not control emotions,
winding up very frustrated.

The love in my heart that I feel,
makes me happy but conflicted.
To God alone, I must answer,
each time my soul is afflicted.

To walk a straight and narrow path,
every minute of every day.
Takes faith and determination,
as we stumble along the way.

I wander off from the time to time,
a tap upon my shoulder.
I feel a warm and gentle touch,
in a world that has grown colder.

God asks so little in return,
for blessings He gives you and me.
His greatest hope for all mankind,
to live a life of decency.
