Child Of Light ------------------
Light like wisdom shall lead the way, Inhaling the darkness, whispering do not stay. Streaks of a simple shade of grey, Softly pleading for the black to go away.
When nothing filled me, I clung to pride. My exterior looked strong while I crumbled inside. This past year has been one long and soul crushing ride. My heart ravaged and jaded feelings looking for someplace to hide.
Must black be so invasive? All consuming and too pervasive. Apathy unleashed has kept me restrained. Numbness, my friend kept me contained.
Fornicating with the shade started feeling like sin. For those who embrace darkness shall never win. It's been cold and lonely where I have been. I revel now in the warmth that dances upon my skin.
Dwelling in darkness gave my quite a fright, In my heart I have no doubt I am a CHILD OF LIGHT.

They are pictures in your mind, Of things you want to do, Or of things you want to happen. Dreams are what they are called. When people are young, Their dreams are of the future. They are about all the things, They want to do when they get older. When people are old, Their dreams are of the past, They are about all the things, They did not do when they were younger. Considering this fact, I will look at my dream and pursue it immediately. Because I fear, That when I am older, My dream may be nothing, But an old faded picture.
