yes, they were pressing the geo admins to stop kamran khan show and dr.shahid masood's MERE MUTABIQ.when they refused they had to face the music.
government is showing its vulnerability, they have also passed a law that authorises the PEMRA to not only stop the transmission of any trouble making channel but even occupy its office also.

in taliban times our border with afghanistan was so safe that pakistan's 3 division army was spare and could be used as a strike core as and when required but now
so much for the war against terrorism

xtreme u r something
now pushing back the afghanis hardly looks like a solution, most of them are anyway push-toons as xtreme put it.they are not the trouble makers, the real menace are the non pushto afghanis, who live along the iranian borders and are sadly backed by iran

as sharmili said the idea behind a madrissa is very noble but ppl are now misusing the madrissas.as for parents ,most of them are extremely poor ppl who cannot teach their childern on their own so the they have to choose between a madrissa and a workshop, and since maddrissa offers religious as well as contemporary studies they go for it.

we all need to re-discover our religion and ourselves in present age,but never lose hope,we the human beings are very short visioned,we are able to see the present only, our predictions about future are greatly influenced by our past and present and our fears and hopes but HE WHO is looking from above only HE can see the whole picture.what we term as disaster might prove to be a blessing and vice versa.so we need to prey and hope for the best.

its always easy to criticise and this is what we all have been doing since independence, this time around there is hope that the bench and the bar, supported by the masses will succeed to make a change for the better.i'm one of those who always see a glass as half filled.

great poem really.
but man is not perfect, the greatness of human beings lies in their capacity to learn from their mistakes.GOD made us to err and seek forgiveness, this is what HIS other creatures were not made to do.thats how i look at it.

no the real problem with karzai gov.is that it mostly comprises of ppl belonging to notorious northern alliance, most of the ministers and governers themselves are responsible for large scale violations of human roghts, they are actually what we call war lords, and above all n.a is a sworn enemy of pakistan.they have always worked agaionst our interest in the region.infact had pakistan not intervened in afghanistan through taliban, they would have made afghanistan a hell for pakistan they are more alligned towards iran and india and thats why pakistani gov.and ppl have so many reservations about them.

alignating oneself from the wrong can be an escape but not a solution,we have to live with the same ppl for the rest of our lives.change will only come about if more and more ppl like you take responsibility on thier shoulders and start doing something positive for a change

when i say that i belong to a v v rich, elite family i'm not simply being myself,i'm showing off and this is a sign of special class mentality.jinnah was in my opinion the greatest leader we ever had after the four pious caliphs but he never once expressed his intentions to do awy with british system just because the system was perfect, the same system worked tremandously well in hong kong till 1999.it is still going well in india, sri lanka and bangla desh.whats wrong with pakistan?
