The Road to Nowhere

To travel the road to nowhere.
The soul's dark amazon.
Eternal peace is anywhere,
the mind might set upon.

To travel the road to nowhere.
To know you're really gone.
And when you finally get there,
to find your god is Ron.

There's something in the cupboard, boy.
There's something in the dark.
There's something in the cupboard, boy,
that leaves a lasting mark.

There's something in the cupboard, boy.
Old secrets gather dust.
There's something in the cupboard, boy,
that reeks decay and must.

To travel the road to nowhere.
Reading signposts from beyond.
As self-deceit completes defeat,
a cold ghost light is shone,
on Ron. On Ron.

He learned to sham at his father's knee.
He knew the power of story.
He lived by lies and fantasies,
and dreamed of fame and glory.

So travel the road but beware,
for he drew an arcane map.
His weak and dismal followers,
could see no fatal trap.

But in his inner circle,
his worth would soon reveal.
To those that rail and cavil,
he'd crush beneath his heel.

There's something in the cupboard, boy.
The sweetest scent of musk.
There's something in the cupboard, boy,
as warm and moist as lust.

To travel the road to nowhere.
It's not the smoothest ride.
To have all faith you must defer,
to a self-referring guide.

To travel the road to nowhere.
To avoid the rush and throng.
Unravel in the space of somewhere,
and sing a specious song.

There's something in the cupboard, boy.
It's got an evil breath.
There's something in the cupboard, boy,
that toys with fear and death.

To travel the road to nowhere.
And wield your magic wand.
A shuffling prisoner of despair,
when fragile hopes abscond.

To travel the road to nowhere.
A funeral dress you don.
All truth is moulded out there,
like a Sci-Fi writer's con.

There's something in the cupboard, boy.
You hear it scratch and whine.
There's something in the cupboard, boy,
both bedevilled and divine.

To travel the road to nowhere.
To follow a different sun.
To travel the road with due care,
not to end as you begun.

To travel the road to nowhere,
to life's grim denouement.
Be sighted by the cross hairs,
released from earthly bond.

To travel the road to nowhere.
Your face is drawn and wan.
Your self-belief masks hidden grief,
while the thief of time moves on.

Words of the Eye

She looks at him
And he looks at her
Their eyes say words
That the mouth can't interpeture
With each stride
They go farther into a world of love
This moment is phenominal
Something planned above
They talk about stupid things
And laugh at things that make no sense
They flood each other with ideas of being together
That their hearts cant rinse
The quality of time
Lies like silt and rust on a sunken submarine
And its how they take esch moment
Mold it, shape into a dream
The old oak tree could give way
Before their love fell apart
For matters of whats surrounding
Do not effect the heart
She says its real
And it will happen one day
He just sits and stares
Because his eyes speak, what his voice cant say

Something to Believe

Leave it to me to live out a lie
Maybe the only thing that was really mine
Suddenly the life I see
Would be exactly the same without me
Tried so hard to believe this had some meaning
That there was hope left in dreaming
But everything keeps slipping further away
Find myself struggling through each day
And everything feels that same
Like a curse buried in my name
My best has never been good enough
Now it’s more than I can do to stand up
So I’m on my knees, begging you please
Help me find anything to believe
Cause I can’t make it through alone
Always searching for someplace to call home

Until I Find Something Real

A little while ago
I thought I fell n luv
But now as I look back
I don't know what I was thinking of
My friends say her memory will fade through the years
But the real truth is
I will always see her face n my pool of tears
I'm with some1 now but I still feel alone
It's not even a real relationship
We don't even talk on the phone
So now there's just me
She had 2 go
Someday I'll find that special 1
When I don't know
All I need is time by myself 2 chill
Then keep on trying
Until I find something real

Ask Those Who Know

Ask those who know,
what's this soul within the flesh?
Reality's own power.
What blood fills these veins?
Thought is an errand boy,
fear a mine of worries.
These sighs are love's clothing.
Who is the Khan on the throne?

Give thanks for His unity.
He created when nothing existed.
And since we are actually nothing,
what are possessions, houses, shops?

God sent us here
to come and see the world.
This world itself is not everlasting.
What are all of Solomon's riches?

Ask Yunus and Taptuk
what the world means to them.
The world won't last.
What are You? What am I?

To Be In Love

To be in love with love is to gain a soul,
to sit on the throne of hearts.
To love the world is to be afflicted.
Later the secrets start to make sense.

Don't be a bramble,
become the rose. Let your maturity unfold.
The brambles will only burn.

Prayer was created by God so man could ask for help.
It's too bad if you haven't learned to ask.

Accept the breath of those who are mature-
let it become your divining rod.
If you obey your self, things turn out wrong.

Renouncing the world is the beginning of worship.
If you are a believer, believe this.

Respect your parents and ancestry,
and you will have fine green clothes of your own.

If you earn the complaints of neighbors,
You'll stay in Hell forever.

Yunus heard these words from the masters.
If you need this advice, take it.

They say one who is received by a heart
becomes more beautiful.

Stand there boy

Stand there boy and touch my skin and what do you feel?
Tell me boy what do you feel?
“I feel nothing but stone cold skin. So clamy and cold,
i’m shocked ma’m that you are even alive, your skin is so cold.”

Stand here boy and listen to my voice.
Tell me boy What do you hear?
“I hear nothing but your stone cold tone,
Im shocked ma’am that you are even alive, your voice is so cold.”

Come here closer boy and feel my hair,
Tell me boy how does it touch?
“It feels rough like straw, look stone cold gray,
Im afraid it might break, ma’am.”

Come here closer boy and look into my eyes,
Tell me boy what color are my eyes,
“Stone cold blue ma’am, They are fading by the minute.
Im suprised your still alive ma’am with eyes like that.”

Come here closer to me now boy, right next to me to be exact.
Listen to my heart, Tell me boy, What do you hear?
“I hear nothing ma’am. Just the sound of stone cold wind,
blowing through the tall sycamore trees.”

clock tick

I’m listening to the clock tick tock away,

*sigh* went and gone another day.
Another day you weren’t here.
or me there.
Another day lost in a day dream of you pulling me near.

Holding me close.
Keeping me tight.
Kissing my lips and giving me that kiss that feels just so right.

I’m listening to the water drip drop in to the sink.
Cuddled here so quietly with thoughts of you I could only think.

Laying here close,
Intertwined together,
Lost in conversation,
That seems to go on forever.

No passion needed for our undying fire,
We keep it burning by just a touch each other.

I sit here listless listening to the wind sing.
Thinking of your voice as it softly rings.
Through my mind.
Can’t we just fast forward time,
To the next time we will be together.
And let the moments slip on for an eternity of forevers.

Until that time I will be patient and wait.
I will just sit here and wait..

Winter Olypics

Though the snow came down.
As the pond was frozen.
Our skis were waxed.
As our feet were clothin’.
The crowd showed up to win the gold.
But the silver shined on.
As the bronze took hold.
A metal of honor.
We wear at our neck.
Ski board in hand.
So what the heck.
The torch burns bright.
As it travels its distance.
Lighting our skies.
For the Winter Olypics…

The World's Like a Flower

The world’s like a flower
Either fallen or grown
The leaves cover secrets
And the pedals are shown
We're like a flower

The world's like a rose
Every rose has its thorns
If we make a mistake
The skin gets torn
We're like a flower

The world's like a daisy
Pretty and bright
We all have our colors
But in a way we're just right
We're like a flower

The world's like a flower
All the thorns will pass through
The world's like a flower
Just waiting to bloom

Dad

You were my inspiration
when I was very young,
You praised me when I needed praise
told me when I was wrong.
Thunderstorms and lightning too
held for me no fear,
I was safe from everything
when I could see you near.
All your love and guidance
made me what I am today,
And yet I still cannot believe
that you have gone away.
Listening to the songs you sang
brings a teardrop to my eye,
But you were happy singing them
so why do I always cry?
I often want to talk to you
like we did not long ago,
Yet even with these passing years
oh dad, I miss you so.

the questions i ask

Sitting here just wondering
About the things I’ve could of done
Thinking of the opportunities
And all the missed out fun

All the things I know
That I wish I would of said
All the thoughts that linger
And stick within my head

Just hoping they would go away
And leave my mind at ease
Begging them to leave
I ask them pretty please

But they don’t listen to me
As no one ever does
I ask them for their reasons
And they tell me just because

So as I sit and wonder again
Trying to explain for them why
Nothing ever makes sense
I could almost break down and cry

Screaming Silence

I feel lost, and you say nothing.
I'm blind, and you do not guide me.
I fall into the pit, but you don't throw me a rope.

I live for life, you live for yourself.
I walk the walk; you don't even move your mouth.
I fear loneliness, you fear change.

When you dreamt at night, I watched over you.
When you screamed in emotional agony, I comforted you.
And when you could not walk, I carried you.

All this and more is what I have done.
All this and more, you have done nothing.
What must I do for you to see me?
What must I be for you to hear me?

I scream in silence, you can't hear me.
I cry out to you, your ears are gone.
I hold out a trembling hand, but you have no arms.
And still, I scream in silence.

Keep Pretending all alone

I don’t expect you to understand
Much the same as you expect of me
And the less we expect of each other
The better or worse things will be?

But let’s keep pretending,
It’ll spur me on
And keep me going
Till it all goes wrong

Isn’t that the path life follows?
The path you defiantly refuse to take
Instead in your naivety
You buy into all illusionary and fake

But let’s keep pretending,
It’ll spur me on
And keep me going
Till it all goes wrong

Only I love you, for that very reason
That you believe and believe so strongly
That love and happiness will surely find you
And never fade or treat you wrongly

So I’ll keep pretending,
It’ll spur me on
And keep me going
Till it all goes wrong

Keep pretending all alone.

The knack

Wheels that turn
On square pegs
Rounded with sound
Rubber coated, burnt
Smelling obscene

Scream with delight or
Fright
Steady now, on fire
With writer's knack
Angels on track

Back Behind Your Eyes

It has been a while since we just let ourselves
Drift into tomorrow just to find ourselves.
There has been an age since I last loosened off,
Let myself be me, forgot to bind myself.

There has been a telling time since my last boat,
It's not so hard to rhyme since I last wrote,
I find it easier, much as I find life,
As easy as passing butter through a knife.

It is still so easy to ignore our roles,
Row into the mist and simply drown our souls.
So many of us place our flowers in a thin necked vase,
Or hide in the paper protrusions upon the face.

When you're ready, step inside, where you belong,
You roamed too far, you stayed away too long.
There's no need to keep on changing your disguise,
We'd so love to see you back behind your eyes.
