The Road to Nowhere

To travel the road to nowhere.
The soul's dark amazon.
Eternal peace is anywhere,
the mind might set upon.

To travel the road to nowhere.
To know you're really gone.
And when you finally get there,
to find your god is Ron.

There's something in the cupboard, boy.
There's something in the dark.
There's something in the cupboard, boy,
that leaves a lasting mark.

There's something in the cupboard, boy.
Old secrets gather dust.
There's something in the cupboard, boy,
that reeks decay and must.

To travel the road to nowhere.
Reading signposts from beyond.
As self-deceit completes defeat,
a cold ghost light is shone,
on Ron. On Ron.

He learned to sham at his father's knee.
He knew the power of story.
He lived by lies and fantasies,
and dreamed of fame and glory.

So travel the road but beware,
for he drew an arcane map.
His weak and dismal followers,
could see no fatal trap.

But in his inner circle,
his worth would soon reveal.
To those that rail and cavil,
he'd crush beneath his heel.

There's something in the cupboard, boy.
The sweetest scent of musk.
There's something in the cupboard, boy,
as warm and moist as lust.

To travel the road to nowhere.
It's not the smoothest ride.
To have all faith you must defer,
to a self-referring guide.

To travel the road to nowhere.
To avoid the rush and throng.
Unravel in the space of somewhere,
and sing a specious song.

There's something in the cupboard, boy.
It's got an evil breath.
There's something in the cupboard, boy,
that toys with fear and death.

To travel the road to nowhere.
And wield your magic wand.
A shuffling prisoner of despair,
when fragile hopes abscond.

To travel the road to nowhere.
A funeral dress you don.
All truth is moulded out there,
like a Sci-Fi writer's con.

There's something in the cupboard, boy.
You hear it scratch and whine.
There's something in the cupboard, boy,
both bedevilled and divine.

To travel the road to nowhere.
To follow a different sun.
To travel the road with due care,
not to end as you begun.

To travel the road to nowhere,
to life's grim denouement.
Be sighted by the cross hairs,
released from earthly bond.

To travel the road to nowhere.
Your face is drawn and wan.
Your self-belief masks hidden grief,
while the thief of time moves on.

Heart of Stone
--------------------

Her heart is now a pitiless barren stone,
Stripped of the soft and warm love on which it fed.
The love that existed only in her mind
A product of her need and her belief in his sweet words
It was her own love reflected in his lying eyes

Her heart tried to fight its death, tried forgiveness
But bitterness overruled its feeble attempts
It was unable to excuse this callous and cruel betrayal
Cringing and flinching from each new blow
Delivered by the words in his letters to his secret love

Unable to carry any more pain, defeated by misery
It transformed into something unfeeling, perhaps inhuman
To test this new stone heart she watches him sleeping
And creates images in her mind of him suffering or dying
Desperate to invoke some fragment of her former love

Alas cold stone has no feelings and though he is with her still
The future is bleak, the past too shattered to repair
She dreams of death, dreams of its sweet release
From her lonely desolate life
And the weight of her heart of stone

why is it I care?
-----------------------

There’s just something about you
I just don’t know it
It hides deep inside you
Why won’t you show it?

Your eyes seem so distant
Your lips never smile
You’re searching for havens
In a world that is wild.

You show no emotion
Are you happy or sad
One glimpse of emotion
And for you I’ll be glad.

Can you still see me?
Do you notice Im there?
These questions still plague me
I don’t know why I care.

Show me your colours
Let yourself go
No smile, no kiss, no signal
Should I stay? Should I go?

I scream I love you
Because I want you to hear
And unlike some people
I face what I fear.

No return

So many things
yet to learn
this is the point
of no return

So many years
I havent earned
this is the point
of no return

So much time
still to burn
this is the point
of no return

Don't Forget
-----------------

Please don't forget,
Me when we say good bye.
Don't forget we ever met.

I won't forget your smile,
Even if time keeps us,
Apart for awhile.

Don't forget the times we talked,
And the silent moments,
Our eyes locked.

I won't forget the times we shared,
Or the fact that,
I really cared.

i will take your pain
--------------------------

I wish I could take in
Your pain
The pain I know
I will cause
For it is not something
That you should have to
Live with
Your are so good
And so pure
You deserve none
Of the pain I bring

I wish to take
It away from you
And into myself
I have lived with pain
For so long
That it is apart of me
More or less will make
No difference to me

But for you
It could break your heart
And scar your soul
I’m worth no such pain

I fallow a masochistic path
Putting myself in harms way
At all times
Proving I can live
Through the pain
Mental and physical

You trust and love people
To a point so far beyond me
That I cannot even see it

Trust and love for me
Are but emotions I know vaguely
We are always at odds
Never truly understanding each other
For I will never be able
To truly love
Or trust
I my feel love or trust
For seconds but it passes
It always passes
Because against my will
My body does not
Allow for emotions to live
For long
They are killed of
Like a disease never
To return in that form again

So let me take in the pain
The pain I know I will cause
I’m worth no such pain
I warn you know
Find someone better
For I live for my own pain
My own torture

Just let me take what pain
I will cause
And move away
For me
And the darkness
That surrounds my soul and heart
Hidden just barely by a veil of light

My chance
-------------

Why am I doing this?
I'll tell you why.
This is my chance to fly.
I wanna fly to a place far away
A place where I can safely lay.
A place that's always mine.
A place where I can always shine.
A place where I can call my home.
A place where where I'm not alone.
What I'm going to do, is my choice.
Finally, not listing to any voice.
When I go there,
Let me be.
This is a place where I can be free.
I'm going to get away from people like you.
I'll tell you what I have to do.
I have to cut my way out.
Without a shout
I'm finally gonna ease the pain.
Doing this, what do I gain?
I'll tell you why.
This is finally my chance to fly...

You,The Sea, And Me
-------------------------

Sail under the silvery moon
as stars reflect upon the bay
seacape takes my breath far away

Shadows cast on white sandy dune
statuesque, these pillars of gold
ever changing drifts to behold

Sunset harbors the lonely loon
another day shall soon depart
main sail hoisted for voyage start

Symphony of whitecaps in tune
harmonize midnight melody
Mother Nature shall calm the sea

Starlit night in the month of June
breeze of summer, whispering soft
echo beyond the clouds aloft

Night to remember, blue lagoon
sillouette of lovers physique
encapture midnight sail mystique

When Dawn Breaks
---------------------

Another day as morning creeps,
as the dark restless night departs.
Now locked in my heart for keeps,
a life time of broken hearts.

Loneliness filters in my mind,
with the sun of another day.
Wondering why life is unkind,
heartache that never goes away.

The moment I open my eyes,
I am overwhelmed missing you.
Eyes tear with whimpering sighs,
memories in my mind play through.

Why did you leave, why did you go,
emptiness deep within my soul.
As dawn breaks, I do not know,
if I will ever again feel whole.

Uninvited are my sorrows,
yet it greets me, time and again.
How do I face my tomorrows,
will I find happiness, where, when?

The Fairy And The Magic Pen
--------------------------------

The broken hearted fairy, lay upon the lily pad,
Dreaming of the day he would find, the love he never had.
Landing next to him, a fairy, cute as she could be.
just one look and he wanted to say, will you marry me.

He asked her name, where she lived, then she flew away,
wanting to write her a letter, not knowing what to say.
He sat down with a magic pen, and much to his delight,
the pen stood up by itself, then the pen began to write.

Upon the paper the pen wrote, romantic poetry.
it wrote words of love and forever, for her eyes to see.
He flew to her house, set on the door with a bouquet,
first he knocked on her door, then he quickly ran away.

As the fairy read the poem, her heart just started pounding,
the words were quite beautiful, and they were quite astounding.
She quickly flew to the lily pad, to find her new love,
guided into his arms, by soft wind currents up above.

She said, I love what you wrote for me, will you write me more,
please write it just as lovely, as the poem you wrote before.
Stood the magic pen upon the paper, now let me think,
alas , lost at love again, the magic pen was out of ink.

When Friends Care
----------------------

Many touched my heart it's true
Your love and caring saw me through

Dear friends with their warm smiles
Extend friendship across the miles
Always there when hugs were needed
Replete in kindness so unheeded

Feelings of compassion shows
Relationships, sometimes grows
Instills beauty like a springtime rose
Enveloped feelings you sweetly send
Near or far, forever friends
Distant does not matter much
Sending smiles, hugs or gentle touch

Turning A New Leaf
--------------------------

Oh mighty tree so picturesque,
see time wither each page and leaf.
Entwine beauty with the grotesque,
contrasting years of joy and grief.

Retrospective my dreams are naught,
elusively wander the skies.
Embarked on sorrow best forgot,
reflecting glimpses of crying eyes.

In meadows green and forest deep,
winds of change echo yesterday.
Within my soul, now left to weep,
temporal sadness came to stay.

Hope dwindles searching each layer,
scars deep are slowly peeled.
Tumble deeper into despair,
unwanted truths are revealed.

An open book, life on display,
full of memories so haunting.
Vintage ink on pages of gray.
embedded in words so daunting.

Childhood Innocence
------------------------

A magical time of hopes and dreams.
Only seeing beauty in all things.
Wistfully gazing above the storms.
Rainbow colors and robins that sing.

Each day is a new discovery.
Life's adventure going day to day.
A penny for your thoughts little one.
Such sweetness listening to you pray.

Silent moments as you lay dreaming.
Innocence resting upon your face.
Drift off to dreamland and wonder.
Hold on tightly to the dreams you chase.

A mind full of whimsical adventure.
Always knowing there is a tomorrow.
Laughter to last throughout a life time.
Unsuspecting to all life's sorrows.

So keep chasing moonbeams and fireflies.
Stay safe and warm in your mother's arms.
Dream of all the goodness yet to be.
Let your childhood remain carefree.

River Of Life
------------------

Oh water rush from tributary,
river of life extroidinary.
Swirling eddy within my brain
swollen river of tear filled rain.

Drop by drop it floods my mind,
raging river of life unkind.
Overflowing from stormclouds dark,
unknown journey I now embark.

Around the bend, mysteries await,
my unknown fate to contemplate.
River rapids rushing much too fast,
into the future, out run the past.

Unstill waters remain quite deep,
from river banks the shadows creep.
Ever winding yet never ending,
like willow trees, forever bending.

Into our lives, storms come and go,
they make the mighty river flow.
In time we'll see the river's end,
the ocean blue around the bend .

Winter's Lonely Call
---------------------------

As winter calls my dreams appear,
again in sleep your face so clear.
The silence builds within the night,
a chill rolls in on death's past plight.

By fate your gone, by fate we met,
you took your life for past regret.
A man so kind a man so sweet,
a tortured soul who met defeat.

Within walls my heart confined,
the reasons why still undefined.
Since that day I searched for years,
met obstacles, cried many tears.

Still wanting love, not knowing when,
settled for less, time and again.
Years later, again my heart breaks,
found love but again it forsakes,

Broken hearts are all that I find,
one more today, one left behind.
Past and present turn out the same,
never fair in war or love's game.

"Day Dreaming"
-------------------

Come dream a little dream with me
fly me past Jupiter to the moon
take me far beyond the milky way
the dish ran away with the spoon

Take me on an old clipper ship
to a tropical Paradise far away
let me explore a clear blue lagoon
swim the currents of moonlight bay

Let me ride the wondrous legend
of the very last unicorn to exist
dive into the crystal clear pools
as the waterfall sprays warm mist

Let me fly the jolly roger flag
it will be a pirates life for me
let me spend my life in Never-land
remain a child for all eternity

Let me slay a dragon for a princess
fight a battle with the mighty kings
take me away to another time and place
as I dream of all these wondrous things
