Unfortunately, ISNA Conventions are like that now. it din't used to be tht way. Funny thing is, since desi's took it over, it transformed to a party house. That's what desi's do best.

dat's where we went wrong c-gal.
ISNA was studded wtih scholars who started and kept it up. Most of 'em are no longer associated with it except for a handful. Desis, as usual wanted the share in the pie weather they deserved it or not, caused stirrs and eventual down spiral. ISNA is now in hands of second or third tier knowledgeables. There are some Arabs and others associated with it but all the good ones are else where.

Again, good and bad people are everywhere. Many Arabs are bad just like there are many decent and well versed desis. In general, when people with little or just average knowledge take over any organization, they cause more damage to it then any good. In ISNA's case desis were at the center of it.
